Drug charges, including heroin possession, result from weekend arrests

Morgan City police and St. Mary deputies reported arrests on drug-related charges, including heroin possession, over the weekend. Morgan City and Franklin police also reported domestic-related arrests.
Morgan City
Police Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 130 calls for service over the last 72-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Bradley Everette Druilhet, 36, First Street, Morgan City, was arrest at 12:05 p.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated flight from an officer, possession of oxycodone, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, registration required, switched license plate, window tint violation, obstruction of justice, no insurance and driving under suspension.
--Christopher Thompson Thomas, 49, Main Street, Patterson, was arrested at 1:13 a.m. Saturday on charges of stalking and cyberstalking.
--Ronnell Demond Williams Jr., 23, Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:48 a.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Kalyn Renee Gros, 33, Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:56 p.m. Saturday on charges of battery of a dating partner, resisting an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and disturbing the peace.
--Damenn M. Engleton, 33, North Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:25 a.m. Sunday on a charge of false imprisonment.
--Demarcus McBride, T.J. Hutcherson, Baldwin, was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Sunday on a charge of resisting an officer.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 101 complaints and made these arrests:
--Jordan Minor, 25, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:05 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear. Minor was released on a $250 bond.
--Jadi Guerrero Williams, 33, Patterson, was arrested at 9:05 a.m. Saturday on charges of simple battery and driving under suspension. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Catherine Elizabeth Hebert, 27, Houma, was arrested at 3:09 p.m. Sunday on charges of theft by shoplifting and possession of heroin. Bail has not been set at this time.
Franklin
Interim Police Chief Tina Thibodeaux reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 18 complaints over the weekend and made these arrests:
--Jason Drexler, 45, Kerry Street, Baldwin, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. Friday on a charge of operating vehicle while license is suspended. Drexler was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.
--Steven Batiste, 53, Hamilton Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:49 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated battery and cruelty to the infirm. Batiste was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
--Patrick Jackson, 65, Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:24 p.m. Sunday on charges of domestic abuse battery with (child endangerment). Jackson was booked, processed and held with no bond set at time of press release.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
--Cedric Benjamin Gant, 25, Grace Street, Morgan City, was arrested Friday on a Harris County, Texas warrant alleging violation of a protective order.
--Ronnell Demond Williams Jr., 23, Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested Friday on a fugitive warrant from the Morgan City Police Department.
--Keon Armaud Carbin, 19, Parro Lane, Berwick, was arrested Friday on a fugitive warrant from the Morgan City Police Department.
The arrests resulted from a Friday evening traffic stop near Amelia.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle on U.S. 90 with an equipment violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Gant and conducted an interview. The deputy then interviewed the two passengers, identified as Williams and Carbin.
The deputy conducted criminal records checks on all three subjects, and all were wanted in other jurisdictions. All three were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
Both Williams and Carbin were released to the custody of Morgan City Police Department. Gant awaits extradition to Texas.
