Deputies report two arrests on drug charges

St. Mary deputies arrested two people Wednesday on drug possession charges and another on a warrant alleging failure to appear to answer drug charges, arrest reports say.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith ad-vised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and made these arrests:
—Azael Perales, 24, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. Wednesday on charges of proper equipment required on vehicles and possession of marijuana. Perales was released on a summons to appear Feb. 3.
—Blake Michael Dinger, 28, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge for possession of methamphetamine. Bail has not been set.
—April Michelle Johnson, 45, Patterson, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. on charges of for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of legend drug without prescription. Bail was set at $4,500.
—Erick Lee Huffman, 30, Andalusia, Alabama, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday on charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and criminal trespass. Bail has not been set.
—Darrius George, 39, Houma, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of theft. George was released on a summons to appear Feb. 3.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 68 calls for service within the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Jahiem J. Taylor, 18, Franklin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:42 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of possession of tobacco products under 21 years of age.
—Mark J. Russo, 52, La. 182 Morgan City, was arrested at 6:13 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of obstruction of a public roadway.
—Ronal Castillo Sandoval, 36, Venus Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday on charges of no driver’s license and failure to secure registration.

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly said the Franklin Police Department responded to four complaints over the past 24 hours and made this arrest:
—Donald Williams, 38, Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant dated Nov. 16 and alleging third-degree rape. Williams was booked, processed and released on a $75,000 bond.
