Deputies make four arrests on drug-related charges

St. Mary Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Narcotics Section made four drug-related arrests Monday and early Tuesday, arrest reports say.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and made these arrests:
—Jason Wesley Johnson, 42, Jeanerette, was arrested at 11:49 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of Schedule II drugs, no headlights, obstruction of justice (tampering) and open container.
No bail has been set.
—Blake Michael Dinger, 28, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of methamphetamine. No bail has been set.
—Chad Harris, 40, Franklin, was arrested at 7:19 a.m. Monday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant for issuing worthless checks.
No bail has been set.
—Morris J. Charpentier Jr., 43, Larose, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. Monday by the Narcotics Section on charges of reckless operation of a vehicle, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of oxycodone, possession of marijuana, transactions involving drug proceeds and resisting an officer.
No bail has been set.
—Jalicia Janee Broussard, 26, Jeanerette, was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Monday on a material witness warrant. Broussard was transferred to another agency.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that over the last 24-hour period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 40 calls for service and made this arrest:
—George Allen Joseph Ribardi, 30, North Third Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Monday on a charge of reckless operation of a vehicle.

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly said the Police Department responded to six complaints over the past 24 hours and made this arrest:
—Constance Chukwameeze, 53, O’Neal Chube Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:22 p.m. Monday on a warrant dated May 3 for domestic abuse aggravated assault with child endangerment.
Chukwameeze was booked, processed and held with no bond set.

St. Martin
Sheriff Becket Breaux reported these arrests:
—Mona Duhon, 35, Kathy Drive, Rayne, was arrested Monday on a charge of attempted second-degree murder or non-negligent homicide.
—Morris Patin, 33, Patin Street, Breaux Bridge, was arrest on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of indecent behavior with juveniles and attempted simple escape.
