Deputies make arrest in sexual assault, drug cases

St. Mary Parish deputies and detectives have made at least 17 drug-related arrests and one on charges of rape and molestation since Friday, according to police reports.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 141 complaints and made these arrests:
—John Franklin Vandercook, 49, Amelia, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. Monday on two warrants for domestic abuse battery, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, molestation of a juvenile, third-degree rape and sexual battery.
On Monday, detectives with the SMPSO Investigations Division were made aware of a possible incident of molestation of a juvenile. Detectives began an investigation into the incident and quickly developed Vandercook as the suspect.
Sometime later, the SMPSO Communications Division received information on the location of Vandercook. Deputies were dispatched to the location and found Vandercook in a shed on the rear of the property. Vandercook was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
No bail has been set.
—Dyreal Waleigh Notto, 19, Jeanerette, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. Friday on charges of improper display of license plate, failure to signal turn, resisting arrest or officer, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, obstruction of justice (tampering), and possession of marijuana.

—Decobie W.P. Taylor, 21, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:25 a.m. Saturday on charges of careless operation, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Taylor was released on a summons to appear May 24.
—April Adams Pontiff, 41, Franklin, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of heroin. Pontiff was released on a summons to appear May 24.
 —John Emile Haydel, 57, Franklin, was arrested at 11:59 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II drug and probation violation. Bail was set at $15,000.
—Titus Jones, 42, Baldwin, was arrested at 12:03 p.m. Friday on a warrant for possession of cocaine with inossession with intent to distribute a Schedule III drug.
Jones was released on a $40,000 bond.
—Darionte Brown, 21, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:53 a.m. Friday on charges of possession of marijuana, transactions involving drug proceeds and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Brown was released on a $20,450 bond.
—Brian Lively, 34, Jeanerette, was arrested at 7:19 p.m. Friday on charges of brake light out, no driver’s license, possession of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, possession of Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Lively was released on a $5,000 bond.
 —Sean Hulin, 24, Jeanerette, was arrested at 7:19 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoids and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hulin was also arrested on two warrants for failure to appear on charges of failure to use seat belts, operating a vehicle without a license, failing to honor a written promise to appear and theft of goods.
No bail has been set.
—Thaddeaus Gabriel, 25, Baldwin, was arrested at 9:06 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana. for possession of schedule I (marijuana). Gabriel was released on a summons to appear May 24.
—Juvenile male, 17, Franklin, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana. The boy was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Tyjuandre Tillman, 29, Baldwin, was arrested at 9:06 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana. Tillman was released on a summons to appear May 24.
—Javon Robertson, 35, Jeanerette, was arrested at 4:03 p.m. Friday on charges of failure to signal 100 feet before an intersection, red light violation, no driver’s license, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute codeine, possession of drug paraphernalia and transactions involving drug proceeds.
Robertson was released on a $7,000 bond.
—Thomas Anthony Tabor, 59, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:56 p.m. Monday on a charge of criminal damage to property (simple), and resisting arrest or officer, and on four warrants for failure to appear on charges of distribution of marijuana; possession, distribution or sale of a legend drug without a prescription; possession of drug paraphernalia; two counts of resisting an officer; domestic abuse battery; disturbing the peace (offensive words); obscenity; resisting an officer with force or violence; attempted disarming of a police officer; and battery of a police officer while in custody.
No bail has been set.
—Alita Marie Tabb, 21, Baldwin, was arrested 6:09 p.m. Monday on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of attempted possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of methamphetamine. No bail has been set.
—J’Korde Jack, 24, Jeanerette, was arrested at 4:34 p.m. Monday on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of Alprazolam, possession of Percocet, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, transactions involving the proceeds from drug offenses, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.
A deputy with the SMPSO Criminal Patrol section observed a vehicle following another vehicle too closely and nearly causing a crash. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver and a passenger, identified as Jack. Through the stop, drugs, a large amount of cash and a firearm were found.
Jack was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Jack was released on a $10,000 bond.
—Barron Harris Jr., 24, Franklin, was arrested at 1:40 p.m. Monday on a charge of following too closely, no driver’s license and possession of marijuana.
A deputy with the SMPSO Criminal Patrol section conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for following too closely to another vehicle and made contact with the driver, Harris. During the investigation, a K9 deputy arrived on the scene and K9 Doerak was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle.
K9 Doerak showed a positive odor response on the vehicle and subsequently, drugs were located. Harris was arrested and released on a summons to appear June 28.
—Robert Lancelin Sr., 77, Baldwin, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. Friday on charges of careless operation and no insurance. Lancelin was released on a summons to appear May 24.
—Juvenile female, 15, Franklin, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Friday as an ungovernable juvenile. The girl was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Juvenile male, 15, Franklin, was arrested at 11:13 p.m. Friday on charges of resisting a police officer with force or violence, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile and threatening a public official (two counts). The boy was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
 —Dylan Anthony Oubre, 32, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Saturday on a charge of for criminal mischief (false report) and resisting arrest or officer. Oubre was released on a $3,000 bond.
 —Mariah Moore, 32, Franklin, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Moore was released on a summons to appear May 24.
—Angel Bibian Aguilera, 29, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. Sunday on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Aguilera was released on a $3,500 bond.
 —Kevin Paul Jenkins, 57, Baldwin, was arrested at 2:07 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of aggravated assault and simple battery. Bail was set at $2,600.
 —Koby Christopher Blair, 22, Morgan Citywas arrested at 5:39 p.m. Sunday on a charge of a police officer with force or violence. Bail was set at $5,000.
—Nicholas Michael Judd, 27, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:06 a.m. Monday on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $2,500.
—Jeremiah Soto, 18, Patterson, was arrested at 4:04 p.m. Monday on parish Ordinance 13-17 (diving from a parish bridge). Soto was released on a summons to appear June 28.
—Gavin Taylor Sauce, 22, Patterson, was arrested at 4:04 p.m. Monday on parish Ordinance 13-17 (diving from a parish bridge). Sauce was released on a summons to appear June 28.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
—Tameisha Trinette Brown, 23, Braud Road, Sorrento, was arrested Sunday on charges of domestic abuse aggravated assault, domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and simple battery.
The charges arose from a Sunday evening domestic incident on Frank Lane in Belle Rose.
Deputies responded to a complaint Sunday evening after receiving multiple complaints at a residence in that area.
Deputies made contact with the complainant and the accused, as well as multiple witnesses, all of whom indicated that a domestic incident turned physical.
At some point during this incident, Brown is accused of striking the victim in the face with a closed fist and at one point took possession of a knife and began waving it towards the victim.
A witness stated that during the confrontation, an individual was able to wrestle the knife away from Brown. During the incident, a 3-year-old child was present.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Brown was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
—Lestreonia R. Rodrigue, 26, Marque Street, White Castle, was arrested Thursday on charges of bank fraud and identity theft.
The arrest arose from an investigation in the Belle Rose community.
A deputy responded to a complaint Oct. 16, 2019, and made contact with the victim, who advised that on the previous day, she went to a business to purchase gasoline and left her bank card with the cashier while she pumped her fuel.
The victim immediately noticed unauthorized transactions on her bank account.
Detectives commenced an investigation and immediately identified Rodrigue as a suspect.
A warrant was issued for Rodrigue in September 2020.
Deputies made efforts to locate the suspect for some time. She was arrested in Ascension Parish on Thursday.
Rodrigue was transferred to and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and released after posting a $20,000 commercial bond.
—Camren Charles Aucoin, 29, La. 1, Paincourtville, was arrested Friday on a charge of domestic battery involving strangulation and involving child endangerment.
Deputies were dispatched to a location Friday night after a female reported that she had been injured during a domestic disturbance.
Deputies responded to the address and made contact with the complainant.
Deputies observed obvious signs of injury to the complainant and the violator was identified as Aucoin. The suspect had already departed, but was located by deputies near Plattenville.
When making contact with the suspect, deputies observed conditions consistent with a crime of violence.
After completing the investigation, Aucoin was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and was released on a $25,000 bond.
