Deputies arrest two teens who fled juvenile facility

St. Mary deputies investigating a burglary case Tuesday arrested two juveniles who escaped from a north Louisiana facility.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and made these arrests:

--Juvenile male, 15, Lake Charles, was arrested at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear.

--Juvenile male, 16, Zachary, was arrested at 9:59 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear.

On Tuesday, patrol deputies were assisting detectives with investigating a burglary case when they observed two individuals walking down Middle Street in Bayou Vista.

They fit the description of two subjects who had committed burglaries earlier in the morning.

The two subjects began to flee when deputies attempted to make contact with them. After a brief pursuit, they were apprehended.

The two subjects were identified as juvenile escapees from an unsecured juvenile youth facility in north Louisiana. The juveniles were taken into custody and transported to a secured youth facility.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 82 calls for service over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Richard Turner, 43, Delchaise Street, New Orleans, was arrested 11:34 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of contempt of court (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Andara Aguilar, 33, Morgan City, was arrested 1:44 p.m. Tuesday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), no driver’s license, possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and improper lane usage.

--Timothy Gary Francis, 35, Idaho Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. Monday on a charge of failure to appear for sentencing hearing (16th Judicial District Court).

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:

--Derrick C. Walker, 30, Cleco Street, Patterson, was arrested at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday on a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things (under $1,000). Walker was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $600.

Franklin

Interim Chief Tina Thibodeaux reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 10 complaints over the last 48-hour reported period and made these arrests:

--Kai Reed, 41, Cayce Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:28 a.m. Monday on a charge of disturbing the peace. Reed was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.

--Shawn Boudreaux, 44, Martin Road, Franklin, was arrested at 12:57 a.m. Tuesday on warrants dated March 18 alleging theft and criminal trespassing. Boudreaux was additionally arrested on the charges of remaining where forbidden and attempted theft. Boudreaux was booked, processed and held on a $5,500 bond.

--Tondrell Perry, 38, Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant dated Feb. 26 alleging felony theft, a warrant dated Feb. 4 alleging theft, and a warrant dated alleging theft by shoplifting. Perry was booked, processed and released on a $5,500 bond.
