Deputies arrest two on meth charges

St. Mary and Assumption deputies made arrests on methamphetamine possession charges this week, arrest records say.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and made these arrests:
—Brandan Edward Keiffer, 29, Bayou Vista, was arrested 2:24 a.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lane usage. Bail has not been set.
—Jordan Luke Vidos, 36, Morgan City, was arrested at 3 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
—Braylon D. Latiolas, 23, La. 182 East, Morgan City, was arrested Monday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.
—Frances Lee Boudreaux, 36, Pond Drive, Morgan City, was arrested Monday on a fugitive warrant from St. Mary Parish.
Both arrests were made during the execution of a search warrant early Monday at a residence on Aristle Road in Bayou L’Ourse. The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation.
During the search, a quantity of methamphetamine was seized which was attributed to Latiolas, resulting in his arrest.
Agents and deputies also arrested Boudreaux on a fugitive warrant from St. Mary Parish.
Latiolas was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
Boudreaux was booked on the fugitive warrant from St. Mary Parish. She remains in the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending transfer to St. Mary Parish.
—Kolyn Rudolf Krouwel, 20, Garden Street, New Orleans, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and speeding 74 mph in a 55 mph zone.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near Homerun Parkway and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy noted activity by the driver consistent with illegal drug activity.
During the interview, the deputy requested and was granted permission to search the suspect vehicle.
As a result of that search, the deputy seized suspected marijuana in multiple forms, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency.
Krouwel was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
—Mark Anthony Guillot, 46, Labutte Street, Plattenville, was arrested Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances, flight from an officer and use of multiple-beam road lighting equipment.
An I.C.E. Unit deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic stop and attempted to stop the vehicle. The suspect vehicle attempted to elude the deputy but was stopped in the area of Violet Street and La. 308.
The deputy made contact with the suspect, identified as Guillot. During the interview, the deputy noted behavior by the suspect consistent with illegal drug activity.
At some point, the suspect granted the deputy consent to search his vehicle. As a result of that search, a quantity of methamphetamine and a large-caliber handgun was seized.
Guillot was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
St. Martin
Sheriff Becket Breaux reported these arrests:
—Bryan Hamilton, 31, Second Street, Crowley, was arrested Monday on charges of illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated assault with a firearm.
—Joshua Harris, 30, Cartier Street, New Orleans, was arrested Monday by the Henderson Police Department on an extradition warrant.
