Corps to hold Morgan City meeting on Morganza opening

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a stakeholder and public meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 29 at the Morgan City High School Multi-Purpose Building, located at 2400 Tiger Drive, to discuss the effects of operation of the Morganza Spillway on the area. Officials plan to make an official decision Tuesday on whether to open the spillway.
