Closures and postponements

St. Mary public schools and Central Catholic in Morgan City will remain closed Friday because of communication problems resulting from Hurricane Ida.
The Harold J. "Babe" Landry Landfill in Berwick and the West End Solid Waste Pick Up Station in Franklin will close at noon Monday for the Labor Day holiday.
The virtual meetings about a possible Atchafalaya Basin site for a proposed National Estuarine Research Reserve will be rescheduled because of the hurricane. They were originally scheduled for Sept. 8, 14 and 16.
