City, parish authorities arrest 3 on drunk driving charges

Morgan City and parish authorities made three arrests on drunk-driving charges over the weekend.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 93 complaints and made these arrests:
—Allen Dale Arnaud, 58, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. Saturday on charges of turning movements or required signals and driving while intoxicated.
Arnaud was released on a $2,750 bond.
—Eric Bryant Thomas, 47, Gibson, was arrested was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Sunday on charges of turning movements and required signals, driving on roadway laned for traffic, open container, driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bryant was released on a $7,000 bond.
—Candice Lee Ross, 36, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail has not been set.
—Matthew James Miller, 28, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:19 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $4,000.
Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 117 calls for service over the last 72-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Russell Blanchard Jr., 34, Allison Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5 p.m. Friday on two counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
—Nolan T. Saujon Jr., 45, Gen. MacArthur, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and improper lighting.
—Christopher J. Dauzet, 37, Spurgeon Drive, Monroe, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
—Jerry Joseph Anslum, 53, Garber Street, Morgan City, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and reckless operation of a motor
vehicle.
—Darius Brown, 43, Clements Street, Patterson, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
—Andrew Gros IV, 18, Fig Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:11 p.m. Saturday on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lighting.
—Quincy James Johnson, 28, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Sunday on two counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
—Ronal Castillo, 27, Venus Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:41 a.m. Sunday on a charge of home invasion.
—Gordon Chris Helman, 52, Uranus Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:07 a.m. Monday on four counts of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and one count of failure to appear for trial (16th Judicial District Court).
—Randy Lee Hatcher, 43, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:25 p.m. Monday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and criminal damage to property.
Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 22 complaints over the weekend and made these arrests:
—Emanuel Hypolite, 20, Emery Lewis Avenue, New Iberia, was arrested at 9:59 a.m. Saturday on a warrant dated Friday and alleging sexual abuse of an animal. Hypolite was booked, processed, and released on a $5,000 bond.
—Rachelle Dupre, 39, Birch Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Dupre was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
