Chitimacha police make arrest in drug case

Chitimacha tribal police have arrested a Charenton man with production or distribution of drugs.

Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported this arrest:

--Jason Magee, 43, Pequot Drive, Charenton, was arrested Friday on charges of unlawful production, distribution, intent to distribute, sale, possession, or use of drugs and neglect of children. He was transported to St Mary Parish jail

Chitimacha Tribal Police Department Officers executed a search warrant at a tribal residence during a narcotics investigation. The search led to illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia being located within the residence. Located along with drug paraphernalia were 4.6 grams of methamphetamine and Adderall pills weighing 8.1 grams.
