Battery, cyberbullying among charges in Wednesday arrests

Cyberbullying, burglary, domestic violence and marijuana possession were among the charges in arrests by Morgan City police Wednesday.
Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 59 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Martaisha Lynn Brown, 37, Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:12 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging cyberbullying.
—Shanae Dowsey, 32, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated battery of a dating partner and criminal damage to property.
—Dominic Campbell, 44, Leo Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday on charges of driving while intoxicated (second offense), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, improper lighting and improper turning.
—Jacki Michelle Smith, 40, Charlotte Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. on charges of resisting an officer and improper lane usage.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 31 complaints and made these arrests:
—Destiny M. Theriot, 45, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:22 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of simple assault. Theriot was released on a summons to appear on July 19, 2022.
—Scott Lee Brown, 64, Thibodaux, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer and appearing in an intoxicated condition. Bail was set at $1,500.
—Brenell Guidroz, 34, Thibodaux, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Guidroz was released on a $12,000 bond.
