Bank backs AGU Art Show and Sale

Jason Watson, president of Patterson State Bank, has become a Purchase Award Patron to Artists Guild Unlimited for its 60th-year Labor Day Show & Sale,  set for Aug. 28-Sept. 21. Accepting the donations for AGU is Vice President and sale Chairperson Diane T. Martin. Watson and his wife are also donors, which accords them a chance to honor four artists of their choosing with monetary gifts. AGU’s  Everett Street Gallery will be open during the Shrimp & Petroleum Festival: 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28-Friday, Aug. 30, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 2. Thereafter, the Everett Street Gallery will revert to regular hours, 1-4 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Saturdays.  This is the only fundraiser of the nonprofit organization for the year. A private showing prior to the general opening will be held for the patrons and donors.
