2 meth possession cases among area arrests

Local law enforcement agencies made nine arrests on drug-related charges or warrants late last week, including two for possession of methamphetamine in Morgan City and Pierre Part

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that over the last 24-hour period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 29 calls for service and made these arrests:
—Bobby Mouton,  46, Rosario Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 7:01 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear for contempt of court and on charges of disturbing the peace, battery on a police officer, resisting an officer (false information) and possession of methamphetamine.
—Harvey Morgan, 39, Uranus Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:13 a.m. Thursday on warrants for disturbing the peace (fighting), domestic abuse battery and vicious dog violation.
—Blaze Guerrero, 21, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for disturbing the peace (fighting).
—Derek Gould Jr., 36, Verson Street, Berwick, was arrested at 3:44 p.m. Thursday on charges of driving under suspension, no registration, improper equipment required on vehicles, and on warrants for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and stop sign violation.

Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
—Guy Matthew Mabile, 45, Verret Street, Pierre Part, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and resisting an officer, and on a fugitive warrant from St. Mary Parish.
Deputies proceeded to a Pierre Part address to execute a fugitive warrant. Deputies encountered Mabile as he was exiting the home. Mabile began to run.
He was quickly apprehended.
During a pat down search, deputies seized a quantity of meth amphetamine from his person.
Mabile was booked into the parish detention center pending a bond hearing.
After satisfying local charges, Guy Matthew Mabile will be released to St. Mary Parish.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and made these arrests:
—Hilton Charles Abraham Jr., 48, Charenton, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Thursday on charges of turning movements and signals required, driving under suspension, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone, and second or subsequent offenses.
No bail has been set.
—Juvenile male, 15, Franklin, was arrested at 1:39 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of marijuana.
The boy was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

St. Martin
Sheriff Becket Breaux reported these arrests:
—Jason Poirier, 35, Huval Road, was arrested Friday on a charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
—Dwayne Savoie, 52, Catahoula Highway, St. Martinville, was arrested Friday on charges of possession of Schedule II narcotics; possession of a firearm while committing or attempting a crime; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Dakevon Jean Batiste, 24, Lou Lin, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear.
—Travis Ross, 23, Elizabeth, Henderson, was arrested Thursday by the Henderson Police Department on a charge of domestic abuse battery.
—David Calais, 37, Reese Street, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Wednesday on charges of manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs; resisting a police officer with force or violence; contraband taken to or from a penal institution; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Richard Garcia, 37, Houston, was arrested Wednesday on a hold for the Bureau of Prisons.
—Devon Guidry, 28, Old Spanish Trail Highway, St. Martinville, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of battery of the infirm.
—Seth Johnson, 53, Garnet Drive, Opelousas, was arrested Wednesday by the Henderson Police Department on a hold for the Bureau of Prisons.
—David Little, 30, Guidry Road, Church Point, was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia; manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs; simple possession of marijuana; simple criminal damage to property; and simple escape.
—Dominique Mouton, 27, Riverwood Drive, Lafayette, was arrested Wednesday on charges of theft valued at $5,000-$24,999 and theft valued at $1,000-$4,999.
—Wallace Patin, 62, Lucette Gudry Road, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Wednesday on warrants for failure to appear.
—Jarried Fontenot, 50, Baldwin Street, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Tuesday on charges of manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs; possession with intent to distribute marijuana; manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Scheduled IV drugs; manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Schedule III drugs; possession of Schedule I drugs; transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—James Miller, 44, Barcelona Road, Lafayette, was arrested Tuesday by the Breaux Bridge Police Department on an extradition warrant.
—Christopher Thomas, 41, Nursery Highway, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of violation of a protective order and a warrant for failure to appear.
—Terrance Thomas, 36, Martin Luther King Drive, St. Martinville, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for failure to appear on charges of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs; manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs; possession of Schedule IV drugs; violation of controlled dangerous substance laws.
—Sean Wilkinson, 39, La. 75, Plaquemine, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of first-degree rape/aggravated rape.
