UPDATED 11:45 A.M. SUNDAY: Juvenile escapee captured
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office said Sunday morning that escapee Dauntain was in custody.
St. Mary deputies and Franklin police are searching for a juvenile offender who escaped from custody Friday.
The juvenile, Kenny Dauntain Jr., escaped from Office of Juvenile Justice custody about 4:30 p.m. Friday while on an escorted trip in Franklin, the Sheriff's Office said.

Dauntain was last seen wearing a black and white jumpsuit.

Dauntain was being held on charges of simple battery, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, attempted first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder (accessory after the fact).
