Kemper Williams will be site for state horseshoes tournament Saturday
The Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association will host the Louisiana State Doubles Horseshoe Pitching Championships beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Kemper Williams Park in Patterson.
Concessions will be available. Horseshoe pitchers from around the state will compete for the coveted champion-ship in their class.
Kemper Williams has 22 concrete, lighted, fenced-in-for-safety horseshoe pits and is the largest facility in the state, the association said. Since 1994 the BHPA has been host to 34 major state and national tour tournaments, with No. 35 this this Saturday.
