Berwick girls win first game in Babe Ruth World Series pool play

Berwick's 10U All-Stars beat the Brookfield Burn of Connecticut 6-1 Friday in the first of four pool play softball games at the Babe Ruth World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida.
The pool play games will determine the seedings for World Series bracket play.
Aubrey Harris and Victoria Gonzales were each 1-for-1 in the win over Brookfield, and Anna Gros and Emily Osburn each batted in a run.
Berwick also won a Thursday warm-up game over the hometown Wildcats of Jensen Beach, 10-1.
Anna Gros, Emily Osburn, Aubrey Harris and Victoria Gonzales were all 2-for-2; Shelby Taylor had a triple in two trips, and Audrey Lodrigue was 1-for-2 with a double. Madisson Gibson was 1-for-2.
