Two pill charges among this week's arrests

St. Mary police agencies reported 11 arrests early this week, including two by parish deputies on prescription drug charges.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 89 complaints and made these arrests:

--Jewel Ann Ross, 41, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:13 a.m. Monday on charges of possession of Schedule V drugs and two counts of possession of a legend drug without a prescription. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Cecil Michael Stratton, 46, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Monday on charges of obedience to a police officer, weights and standards; one-way roadways and rotary traffic islands, proper equipment required on vehicles, expired license plate, expired or no inspection sticker, no insurance and possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Dylan Michael Boling, 29, Franklin, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. Tuesday on three warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of alprazolam; operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled; speeding; and operating a vehicle not covered by security.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Sheri Ann Falgout, 59, Berwick, was arrested at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday on charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Bail was set at $2,000.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 59 calls for service over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Angela Lopez Porras, 21, Cherry Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of hit and run.

--Curtis Richard, 48, Glenwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:13 a.m. Tuesday on charges of resisting an officer, failure to yield and driving under suspension, and as a fugitive from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.

--Edward Giroir, 31, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:59 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Danny Andorf, 50, Natalie Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of contempt of court (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Crystal Irvin, 46, Mallard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:09 p.m. Monday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Jerald Stansbury, 48, Duke Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Monday as a fugitive from the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

--Kayla Aucoin, 31, La. 182, Morgan City, as arrested at 2:53 p.m. Monday on three counts of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

Berwick

Chief David S. Leonard reported that the Berwick Police Department responded to 28 calls for service in the last 72-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Female juvenile, Berwick, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. Aug. 8 on a charge of disturbing the peace.

--Osmani Albarado Sanchez, 20, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:46 a.m. Saturday on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, improper lane usage and no driver’s license.

--Diamynn Johnson, 18, Morgan City, was arrested Saturday on a Morgan City Police Department warrant alleging unlawful posting of criminal activity.

--Fonzie Wade, 50, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:57 a.m. Monday on charges of simple burglary of a vehicle and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
