Three drug charges among St. Mary arrests

Morgan City and Franklin police reported three arrests on drug charges, including one alleging possession of methamphetamine.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Wilbur James Richard Jr., 39, Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11 a.m. Monday on charges of introduction of contraband into a penal facility and possession of marijuana.

--Terry Lee Joseph, 25, Nutmeg Drive, Ruston, was arrested at 1:01 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--Kade Patrick Dugas, 18, Myrtle Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Monday on a charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:

--Tony Gibson, 59, Martin Luther King Avenue, Baldwin, was arrested at 7:29 p.m. Monday on charges of threatening a public official, disturbing the peace and two counts of child restraint. Gibson was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $1,750.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to five complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and this arrest:

--Darren Darby, 27, Isabella Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Friday a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Darby was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
