Three drug arrests reported by Morgan City police

Morgan City police reported three arrests Thursday on drug charges.

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 55 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting peirod and made these arrests:

--Brandon Sharpton, 37, Snook Circle, Punta Gorda, Florida, was arrested at 7:54 a.m. Thursday on a charge of resisting an officer.

--Terin Marie Champagne, 25, Fieldspan Road, Duson, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Thursday on charges of obscenity and possession of marijuana.

--Carlton Cosey, 40, First Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of hydrocodone, possession of marijuana and window tint violation.

--Tanisha Wilkerson, 47, Grace Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:49 p.m. Thursday ona charge of theft (under $1,000).

--John Wayne Ross, 54, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:29 a.m. Thursday on a charge of disturbing the peace.

--Breionne Dedric, 30, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:55 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of phentermine, and failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Rusty James Istre, 37, 16th Street, Larose, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Thursday on a charge of obscenity.
