Three domestic abuse arrests by Morgan City police

Morgan City police reported three arrests on domestic abuse charges Monday and Tuesday.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 166 calls for service over the last 96-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Lateachies Shavon Washington, 34, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:13 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.

--David Charles Smith, 33, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:01 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law).

--Tracy Deon Abraham, 51, Creek View Road, Augusta, Georgia, was arrested at 5:42 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.

--Cassandra Elizabeth Romo, 31, Sunnyside Lane, Amelia, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Monday on a charge of disturbing the peace.

--Bliss Renee Roy, 47, Franklin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:56 a.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--John Ashmore, 52, Amelia Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:51 a.m. Friday on a charge of criminal trespass.

--Haris Dayon Joshua Raheem Franklin, 22, Nicole Street, Houma, was arrested at 10:11 p.m. Friday on a Morgan City Police Department warrant alleging simple battery and disturbing the peace (language).

--Johnathon Matthew Priestly, 30, Fourth Street, Morgan City, was arrested Saturday on a warrant alleging six counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Kade Paul Simon, 30, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Saturday on charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace (fighting).

--William Toups, 35, Cross Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Saturday on charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace (fighting).

--Michael Alan Jones, 33, Bergeron Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Saturday on charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace (fighting).

--Alexander Grogan, 50, Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5;53 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies and illegal carrying of a weapon, and on a warrant alleging failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Christopher Lee Lacaze, 44, Third Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Sunday on charges of simple battery of the infirm and criminal damage to property (less than $1,000).

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 25 complaints and made these arrests:

--Janna Mallory Gilmore, 37, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of Subutex, possession of methamphetamine, possession of amphetamine, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Pregabalin and possession of marijuana.

--Margaret Mary Guidroz, 44, Patterson, was arrested at 11:52 a.m. Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of clonezepam, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Kristopher Lawrence Savoie, 43, Patterson, was arrested at 12:49 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a convicted felon; illegal use, possession or control of weapons in a crime of violence or in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Carlos Tremaine Francis, 38, Jeanerette, was arrested at 2:18 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal trespassing. Francis was released on a $1,500 bond.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 11 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:

--Shane Gutreaux, 51, Kings Cove Circle, Lafayette, was arrested at 8:46 p.m. Monday on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Gutreaux was booked, processed and held on a $2,500 bond.
