Theft, DWI charges after recent arrests

Morgan City police and St. Mary deputies made arrests since last week on charges that include theft and driving while intoxicated.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:

--Bethany White, 29, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:27 a.m. Jan. 14 on four counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Janice Carrington, 42, Cross Road No. 2, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:13 a.m. Jan. 14 on charges of theft (under $1,000) and failure to appear for hearing (16th Judicial District Corut).

--Dawn Acosta, 46, Barrow Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:03 p.m. Jan. 14 on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward City Court).

--Christy Miller, 47, Mount Street, Berwick, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. Jan. 14 on charges of resisting and officer and remaining where forbidden.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:

--Aeril Alexis Darby, 30, Franklin, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of improper supervision of a minor by a parent or legal guardian. Darby is released on a $2,000 bond.

--Jose Andrian Flores, 63, Albertville, Alabama, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. Thursday on charges of driving while intoxicated, careless operation and no driver’s license.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported this arrest:

--Travis Boatman, 45, Simcoe Street, Lafayette, was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Jan. 14 on a warrant for 15th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of resisting an officer. Boatman was booked, processed and released on a $100 bond.
