Theft, drug, battery arrests reported in St. Mary

St. Mary law enforcement agencies reported arrests on charges that included theft, drug possession and battery over the long holiday weekend.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan Police Department responded to 144 calls for service over the last 96-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Stephanie Monique Manjarrez, 30, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:41 p.m. Friday on charges of theft (under $1,000), possession of methamphetamine, possession of Trazadone and possession of drug paraphernalia.--Rondanines Cruz, 52, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:06 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Wad Morgan City Court).

--Dedric D. Jones, 48, Oak Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. Saturday on charges of possession of cocaine and ailure to return leased merchandise.

--Eduardo Ayala, 22, Laurel Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:44 p.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and theft (under $1,000).

--Patrick Feagans, 32, Louisa Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:14 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.

--Jabari Elijah Woods, 21, Garber Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:05 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), reckless operation of a vehicle and simple obstruction of a highway.

--Zachary Lasseigne, 30, Patton Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:01 p.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Osias Enoc Cardona, 18, Rose Street, Berwick, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. Saturday on a charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle and no driver's license.

--Moesha Renee Williams, 22, Wren Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Sunday as a fugitive from the Kenner Police Department.

--Joel Allen Gier, 32, Southeast Boulevard, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:04 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper lighting, and as a fugitive from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.

--Brock Elix Williams, 44, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Terrence R. Cosey, 37, Leo Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 2:26 p.m. Monday on charges of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment), resisting an officer with force or violence and disturbing the peace (simple assault). Cosey is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 12 complaints over the holiday weekend and made these arrests:

--Brandon Garrison, 33, B Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:10 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension, expired registration and no insurance. Garrison was booked, processed and released on a $463 bond

Chitimacha

Chief B.C. Trahan reported these arrests:

--Monique F Jacob, 41, Deare Street, New Iberia; was arrested Dec. 19 on an active warrant alleging two counts of misdemeanor theft. She was released on a summons. The department thanked the New Iberia Police Department for assistance.

--Delondra N Lee, 47, Nicholas Street, Breaux Bridge; was arrested Dec. 19 on an active warrant alleging principal to theft. She was released on a summons. The department thanked the St Martin Parish Sheriff's Office for assistance.

--Michelle L King, 52, Chris Lane, Franklin; was arrested Dec. 20 on an active warrant alleging possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. The department thanked the St Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for assistance.

--Brian L Gilliams, 47, La. 318, Jeanerette; was arrested Dec. 20 on an active warrant alleging reckless operation and driving under suspension. He was released on a summons. The department thanked the Louisiana State Police for assistance.

--Derrick D Daniels Sr., 45, Johnston Street, Lafayette; was arrested Dec. 20 after turning himself in, on an active warrant alleging misdemeanor theft. He was released on a summons.

--Charles Williams, 60, Statesman Road, Opelousas; was arrested Sunday on charges of reckless operation, driving while license is suspended, and stopping, standing, parking in specified locations. He was released on a summons.

--Scottie J Black, 35, Hubertville Road, Jeanerette; was arrested Monday on a charge of resisting a law enforcement officer. He was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
