St. Mary deputies make arrest in sexual assault case

St. Mary deputies reported the arrest of a Breaux Bridge teenager accused of rape and indecent behavior.
Other agencies made arrests on obscenity, stalking, cyberstalking and domestic abuse charges.
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:
--Ethan Channing Breaux, 19, of Breaux Bridge, was arrested about 2:17 p.m. Dec. 17 on a warrant charging alleging third-degree rape and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
On Nov. 6, a detective with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office became aware of an incident involving a juvenile and initiated an investigation. Over the course of the following days, the detective gathered evidence and information sufficient to apply for an arrest warrant related to the incident.
The warrant was obtained, and with the assistance of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, Breaux was located and arrested. He was subsequently transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. At this time, bond has not
been set.
The sheriff and the Criminal Investigations Division of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office for their assistance in this investigation.
--Charlotte Tonya Bracamontes, 37, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Dec. 17 on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and resisting arrest or officer. Bracamontes was released on a $3,500 bond.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:
--John Lugo, 21, Julia Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of marijuana (first) and failure to signal. (Released on summons.)
--Kari Berard, 37, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.
--William Haff, 44, Trina Street, Patterson, was arrested at 4:41 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated cruelty to animals and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.
--Henry Menant, 70, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:17 p.m. Sunday on charges of obscenity, indecent behavior with juveniles and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
--Kari Warden, 40, Cottonwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested 9:59 p.m. Sunday on a charge of cyberstalking.
--Mario Cepeda, 41, Laurel Street, Lake Jackson, Texas, was at 12:29 a.m. Friday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), open container, reckless operation and improper lane usage.
--James Hallum, 32, Bayou Dularge Road, Houma, was arrested at 10:56 a.m. Dec. 17 on three counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Leonard Allen, 59, 0Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Dec. 17 on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
Berwick
Chief JP Henry reported these arrests:
--Juvenile male, 13, was arrested at 4:41 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging domestic abuse battery (strangulation).
The warrant stems from a domestic disturbance that occurred on Dec. 12 at a Berwick residence involving a 13-year-old male juvenile.
An investigation determined the juvenile committed a battery against his mother and made additional threats toward her and other family members. A warrant was issued, and the juvenile was arrested Thursday. He is currently being held pending
juvenile court proceedings.
--Brock James Broussard, 37, Patterson, was arrested at 5:32 p.m. Dec. 16 on warrants alleging unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of violation of a protective order, stalking,
Broussard remains incarcerated waiting bond to be set.
Patterson
Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:
--Quintus J. Williams, 36, L Street, Patterson, was arrested at 12:52 p.m. Thursday on charges of illegal tinted windows and speeding 1-10 mph over the limit. Williams was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $886.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
--Samantha Broussard, Vivien Street, Bayou L’Ourse, was booked Thursday on a charge of aggravated battery.
The charge arises from an incident that occurred March 1 at a residence in Bayou L’Ourse.
On the aforementioned date, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of La.398. Deputies made contact with the complainant, who advised that he was previously in a relationship with Broussard and they were now estranged.
The complainant advised that Broussard had come to his home and was unruly and at some point punched him in the face. Broussard then allegedly struck the complainant in the lower extremities with a lamp.
Investigating deputies observed evidence consistent with the allegations lodged by the complainant.
Deputies obtained a warrant for the arrest of Broussard.
She was in the custody of the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office. Broussard was released to the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office on Thursdday. Broussard was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and remains incarcerated with bond set at $50,000.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:
--Amary Bean, 20, Ibert Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:22 p.m. Dec. 17 on warrants for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of license plate light, no vehicle registration, no insurance and allowing unlicensed persons under 17 to drive. Bean was booked, processed and held on a $1,076 bond.
--Joel Divinity, 19, Mirabeau Avenue, New Orleans, was arrested at 9:22 p.m. Dec. 17 on charges of resisting an officer and interfering with a law enforcement investigation. Divinity was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
--Charlie Williams, 47, Blakesley Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:09 p.m. Thursday on charges of aggravated assault on a peace officer, resisting an officer with force or violence, misrepresentation during booking, theft and three counts of resisting an officer. Williams was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
--Logan Parker, 27, Joseph Street, Franklin, was arrested 7:23 p.m. Thursday on warrants for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of speeding, driving under suspension, illuminating devices required, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Parker was booked, processed and released on a $1,444 bond.
--Povial Ward, 35, Cayce Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:31 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension and no turn signal. Ward was booked, processed and held on a $338 bond.
--Shekinah Barto, 22, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of speeding. Barto was booked, processed and released on a $338 bond.
--Dwayne Freeman, 50, Ash Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:52 p.m. Thursday on a warrant dated Aug. 17 alleging domestic abuse battery, and a warrant dated Nov. 9 alleging simple assault, disturbing the peace and resisting an officer. Freeman was additionally arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession of synthetic cannabinoids (second offense). Freeman was booked, processed and held on a $19,500 bond.
--Brandon Davis, 47, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:50 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging probation violation. Davis was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
--Alfred Kinchen, 63, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. Friday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of speeding and no insurance. Kinchen was booked, processed and released on a $738 bond.
