Six face DWI charges after weekend arrests

Berwick police ran an impaired driving checkpoint Friday, and other St. Mary agencies also stepped up enforcement as part of a pre-Labor Day crackdown.

The arrests included six on driving while intoxicated charges, one on an open container charge and another on a charge of driving with a license suspended for a previous DWI conviction.

Berwick

Chief David S. Leonard reported these arrests:

--Dylan Bryant, 25, Patterson, was arrested at 9:43 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving under suspension for a prior driving while intoxicated offense.

--Patrick Carello, 50, Berwick, was arrested at 9:56 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense).

--Steven Boudreaux, 42, Berwick, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Saturday on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

--Dylan Barrilleax, 30, Berwick, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Friday on a Berwick warrant alleging hit and run

--Alton Robinson, 21, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Friday on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana (over 28 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Juvenile male, 17, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams).

--Michael Kennedy, 51, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:57 p.m. Friday on a charge of reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

--Danny Andorf, 48, Patterson, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Saturday on a Morgan City warrant alleging failure to appear.

--Jadi Williams, 34, Patterson, was arrested at 1:23 a.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams).

--Ariel Brown, 40, Franklin, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams) and possession of MDMA.

--Nathaniel Rollins, 27, Patterson, was arrested at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on a St. Mary Parish warrant alleging theft.

--Brandon Leblanc, 37, Berwick, was arrested at 2:11 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams), texting while driving, expired license plate and failure to a carry registration.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 128 calls for service over the last 72-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Herman Singleton, 67, 11th Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:58 a.m. Friday on a charge of open container.

--Daniel Jimenez-Maldonado, 58, Ditch Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:11 a.m. Saturday on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense).

--Amilcar Sanchez-Lopez, 31, Federal Ave. Morgan City, was arrested 3:43 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated (second offense).

--Steve Michael Scully Jr., 37, Dixie Court, Bayou L'Ourse, was arrested at 8:45 pm. Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated ad reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

--Charles Walker Jr., 39, George Street, Napoleonville, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. Friday on charges of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and resisting an officer.

--Danny Lee Andorf, 48, Francis Sreet, Berwick, was arrested at 7:52 a.m. Saturday on three counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--April Michelle Johnson, 47, Martin Road, Franklin, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Jarvis Melton, 37, Garber Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:10 p.m. Saturday on a charge of hit and run.

--Harold Demond Bias, 33, Jones Street, Berwick, was arrested at 12:31 p.m. Sunday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.

--Hunter Boudreaux, 21, Bigler St. Franklin, was arrested at 4 a.m. Sunday on charges of failure to appear to pay fine and two counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Michael W. Federer, 32, Leo Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 3:44 p.m. Friday on charges of driver's license suspended or revoked and no seat belt. Federer was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $487.

--Adriane L. Wilson, 39, Gabriel Street, Patterson, was arrested at 2:37 p.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting arrest or officer. Wilson was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $717.

--Trey A. Jones, 39, Main Street, Patterson, was arrested at 6:39 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Jones was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $459.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 84 complaints and made these arrests:

--Michelle Ann Bowers, 49, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. Sunday on charges of turning movement and required signals, driving under suspension and driving while intoxicated. Bowers was released on a $6,250 bond.

--Rodrick Adam Pierre, 28, Baldwin, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. Friday on three warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana; improper turn or failure to give required signal; operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled; and operating a vehicle not covered by security.

Bail has been set at $1,150.

--Curtis Paul Gaudet Jr., 30, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:56 a.m.Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Deantre Dshawn Christopher Charles, 28, New Iberia, was arrested at 10:40 p.m.Friday on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of stolen firearms. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Esau Mitchell, 67, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Sunday on an MCPD warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of simple battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Ryan Joseph Delahoussaye, 29, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:29 a.m.Friday on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 17 complaints over the past weekend and made these arrests:

--Jose Rosales-Diaz, 31, East 75th Street, Cutoff, was arrested at 2:48 p.m. Saturday on charges of speeding and no driver's license. Rosales-Diaz was booked, processed and released on a $523.50 bond.

--Steven Richard, 42, Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. Sunday on a warrant dated Aug. 24 alleging two counts of theft of utility property. Richard was additionally arrested on a charge of resisting an officer. Richard was booked, processed and held on a $5,500 bond.
