The charges arise from a suspicious persons stop at a retail outlet near La. 398 and La. 662 in Bayou L’Ourse late Sunday evening.

A uniformed patrol deputy observed a motorized bicycle at closed business hours near the establishment and conducted a stop of the bicycle. The vehicle was occupied by two individuals who both had
their heads covered with thick clothing.

The deputy initiated contact with both subjects now identified as Scarbrough and Guerrero. Scarbrough provided the deputy with a fictitious date of birth.

The deputy attempted to take Scarbrough into custody but she resisted those efforts. The deputy was able to arrest Scarbrough.

Guerrero fled the area. The deputy located Guerrero sometime later in the 200 block of Muriel Street.

Guerrero and Scarbrough were booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and
remain incarcerated pending bond hearings.
