Sex crime, domestic abuse and drug charges reported in recent arrests

St. Mary deputies reported recent arrests on charges that include theft, forgery, domestic abuse and drug possession.

Franklin police booked a man on sex crime and juvenile pornography charges.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 144-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 265 complaints and made these arrests:

--Oscar David Lainez-Lara, 36, Broussard, was arrested at 10:11 p.m. June 27 on charges of driving on roadway laned for traffic, reckless operation (no accident) and open container. Lainez-Lara was released on a $1,750 bond.

--Corey Lee Percle, 44, Morgan City, was arrested at 7 a.m. June 28 on a warrant alleging failure to appear for the charges of battery of a dating partner. Percle was released on a $7,500 bond.

--Johnisha Lashay Ayers, 29, Morgan City, was arrested at 7 a.m. June 28 on a warrant alleging failure to appear for a charge of simple battery. Ayers was released on a $350 bond.

--Micah Frank Lodrigue, 23, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:01 a.m. Sunday on charges of maximum speed limit, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule I drugs. Lodrigue was transferred to another agency.

--Chandler Yontrel Dejoun Williams, 33, Patterson, was arrested at 2:47 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for a charge of battery of a dating partner. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Tammy Lynn Guilbeau, 45, Franklin, was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic abuse (child endangerment) and cruelty to a juvenile. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Katyre Akin White, 30, Franklin, was arrested at 6:43 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of resisting an officer, possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by convicted felon, and failure to display license plate. Bail was set at $9,450.

--Sharon Denise Gauthier, 63, Youngsville, was arrested at 11:53 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to stop or yield at stop sign. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Eugenia Navejar, 24, Morgan City, was arrested at noon Tuesday on charges of theft and forgery. Bail has not been set at this time.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 34 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:

--Brock E. Williams, 44, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and urinating in public.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to eight complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:

--Malik Harrison, 19, St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, with the assistance of the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, was arrested at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant dated April 16 alleging two counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and pornography involving juveniles. Harrison was booked, processed and held on a $50,000 bond.
