Seven drug arrests reported by MCPD

Morgan City police reported seven arrests on drug charges over the week, mainly on charges of possession of marijuana under 14 grams. But two of the arrests were on methamphetamine charges.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrest:
--Sarah Bran, 39, Hogan Street, Berwick, was arrested 6:10 p.m. April 9 on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, signals required and driving under suspension.

--Demetrius Green, 33, Arkansas Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. April on a charge of possession of marijuana (first offense). (Released on summons.)

--Nicholas Pederson, 25, Dale Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:24 p.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana (first offense). (Released on summons.)

--India Richardson, 23, Robin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana (first offense) and improper lane usage. (Released on summons.)

--Tyonna Walker, 21, Wren Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:31 p.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana (first offense). (Released on summons.)

--Shantell Hotard, 39, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana (first offense), possession of synthetic marijuana and lights required on bicycle.

--Brian Damian, 21, Chirpys Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and light required.

--Alyssa Ashmore, 35, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. Friday on charges of improper registration of a motor vehicle and driving under suspension.

--Isaias Mondragon, 37, Hickory Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5 p.m. Friday on a charge of keeping dangerous or vicious dog. (Released on summons).

--Shaunda Billiot, 54, Bloom Boulevard, Berwick, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. Friday on charges of criminal trespass, disturbing the peace and simple assault.

--Thomas Thompson, 51, First Street, Berwick, was arrested on 6:36 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear for imposition hearing (6th Ward Morgan City).

--Dane Farrington, 42, Keith Street, Morgan City, was arrested 5:24 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

--Michele Leblanc-Stewart, 50, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested 9:44 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

--Danielle Boutte, 39, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Saturday on charges of battery on an officer and disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

--Anthony Davis, 55, Sidney Street, New Orleans, was arrested at 1:18 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace.

--Michael Sanchez, 17, Chennault Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:31 a.m. Thursday on a charge of disturbing the peace.

--Barbara Murray, 48, Brownell Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. Thursday on a charge of allowing dogs to roam. (Released on summons).

--Leanna Steele, 37, Shannon Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:32 p.m. Thursday on a charge of simple burglary.

--Tamika Verdun 44, Southeast 339th Street, Federal Way, Washington, was arrested at 12:26 p.m. April 8 on charges of remaining where forbidden and misrepresentation during booking.

--Robert Watkins, 45, Gray, was arrested at 1:21 p.m. April 9 on two counts of failure to appear to pay fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Corey Tarver, 47, Maine Street, Patterson, was arrested at 1:33 p.m. April 9 as a fugitive (16th Judicial District Court).

--Gary Vining, 56, Venus Street, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 3:09 p.m. April 9 on a charge of violation of a protective order.

--John Cain, 72, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. April 9 on a charge of obstruction of roadway. (Released on summons).

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--Stanley Butler Jr., 46, Mitchell Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Friday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Butler was booked, processed and released on a $152.46 bond.

--Olivia Poole, 18, Causey Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 12:40 a.m. Sunday on charges of speeding and careless operation. Poole was booked, processed and released on an $811 bond.
