Patterson man arrested on charges of aggravated flight, wrong way on a four-lane

A Patterson man was arrested Friday and accused of fleeing from an officer, driving the wrong way on a four-lane road and leaving the scene of an accident.
Patterson
Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:
--Dedrick Gant, 38, Live Oak Street, Patterson, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. Friday on charges of speeding, wrong way on a four-lane highway, improper turn, stop sign violation, aggravated flight from an officer, simple criminal damage to property, leaving the scene of an accident, no driver's license, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs and resisting an officer.
--Glen Shelvin, 31, Grand Avenue, Lafayette, was arrested at 10:32 a.m. Friday on charges of speeding, driving under suspension and possession of marijuana (under 14 grams).
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to 109 complaints and made these arrests:
--Brandie Ann Ramsour, 44, Lafayette, was arrested at 11:05 p.m. on two warrants alleging failure to appear on a charge monetary instrument abuse. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Royce Anthony Benoit Jr., 42, Schriever, was arrested at 11 a.m. Sunday on a charge of criminal trespass. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Amber Lee O’Connor, 44, New Iberia, was arrested at 11:36 p.m. Sunday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 116 calls for service and made these arrests:
--Cary Paul Breaux, 49, Bayou Drive, Pierre Part, was arrested a 2:17 p.m. Friday on a charge of remaining after being forbidden.
--Filomelia Rodriguez Zapata, 40, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of fraudulent documents and resisting an officer.
--Tiesha Rockel Carbin, 32, Fourth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Rachel Lynn King, 39, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:52 a.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and resisting an officer.'
--Damon Maurice Allen, 53, Park Street, Patterson, was arrested at 10:20 a.m. Saturday as a fugitive from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
--Lyni Dashawn Smith, 26, Laban Avenue, Houma, was arrested at 12:48 p.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.
--Allen Lee Escort, 59, Mount Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and resisting an officer.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 15 complaints over the weekend and made these arrests:
--Michael Payton, 35, North Branch Street, Baldwin, was arrested at 12:54 a.m. Saturday on a warrant dated April 3 alleging theft, disturbing the peace, and resisting an officer.
Payton was additionally arrested on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of speeding. Payton was booked, processed and held on a $5,353 bond.
--Brandy Washington, 22, Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, was arrested at 5:10 p.m. Sunday on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm. Washington was booked, processed and released on a $4,500 bond.
--Kyle McMillian, 31, Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace. McMillian was booked, processed and released to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.
Chitimacha
Chief B.C. Trahan reported this arrest:
--Shelby Bernard, 58, Choctaw Street, Jeanerette; was arrested Nov. 7 on a charge of domestic abuse. She was transported to the St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
--Shaun Givens, 42, Creek Road No. 1, Franklinton, was arrested Friday on a fugitive warrant from Tangipahoa Parish alleging theft of a motor vehicle valued at over $1,500.
On Friday, deputies became aware that a felony warrant existed for the arrest of Givens and that the subject was working at a business near Bayou L’Ourse.
Deputies went to the location and located Shaun. He was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending transfer to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.
