One person wounded in Franklin shooting

A Monday evening shooting wounded one person on Franklin's St. Joseph Lane, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office said.
The victim sustained a wound that isn't life-threatening, the Sheriff's Office said.
The victim was discovered after deputies answered a 5:21 p.m. call about shots fired on St. Joseph Lane, located northeast of the La. 322-Irish Bend Road intersection.. The wounded person was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
"This is an active investigation," the Sheriff's Office said. "More information will be released when it becomes available. Please avoid the area at this time."
