Multiple drug charges result from Narcotics Section arrests

Members of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Section arrested two local people Monday on charges that they possessed seven drugs illegally, including three in distribution quantities.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:

--Daryan Pravino, 33, Berwick, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 11:30 a.m. Monday on charges of possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute Adderall, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a Schedule I drug (mushrooms), possession of a legend drug without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of possession of a legend drug without a prescription and violation of a drug-free zone.
Bail has not been set at this time.

--Wanya Francis, 31, Patterson, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 11:34 a.m. Monday on charges of possession of THC vapes, possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possess of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, and on a Probation and Parole warrant for a probation violation.
Bail has not been set at this time.

--Harley Nichole Thibodeaux, 27, Franklin, was arrested at 12:54 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule II drugs. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Joseph Paul Demarco, 61, Berwick, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday on charges of vehicle license required, turning movements and required signals, driving under suspension, no insurance, failure of owner to secure registration, expired license plate, and switched license plate or stolen license plate, and on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of speeding and unlawful use of a driver’s license.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Shane Montan Ketchens, 39, Metairie, was arrested at 6:29 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of bank fraud, monetary instrument abuse and theft. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Ronald Joseph Grow, 53, Jennings, was arrested at 10:41 pm on a warrant alleging failure to appear for child support. Bail was set at $21,904.95.

Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams
reported these arrests:

--Mason Robinson, 30, Eves Street, Jeanerette, was arrested at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Jazlyn Dawson, 18, Paula Drive, Thibodaux, was arrested at 10:32 a.m. Tuesday on charges of bank fraud and monetary instrument abuse.

--Bonnie Blankinship, 70, Pierre Part, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday on charges of failure to appear to pay fee.

--Elaina Ashmore, 26, Arenz Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:54 a.m. Monday on three counts of cruelty to a juvenile.

--Kendrick Matthews, 36, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Monday on three counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--Leanderous McClendon Jr., 42, Tupelo Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:35 p.m. Monday on charges of driving under the influence and driver must be licensed. McClendon was additionally arrested on warrants for St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office alleging simple criminal damage to property and for failure to appear on the charge of no seat belt. McClendon was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Nina Reed, 70, Anderson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of disturbing the peace (language). Reed was booked, processed and held on a $345 bond.
