Morgan City police, St. Mary deputies make three drug arrests

Morgan City police and St. Mary deputies reported three arrests this week on drug charges.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 83 complaints and made these arrests:

--Ray Anthony Chaisson Jr., 33, Berwick, was arrested at 9:51 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of marijuana, turning movements and required signals, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Chaisson was released on a $10,000 bond.

--Shawn Paul Boudreaux, 45, Centerville, was arrested at 11:44 a.m. Tuesday on a Patterson Police Department warrant alleging simple burglary. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Aaron Michael Melancon, 46, Gonzales, arrested at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Shauntell Nicole Hartdegen, 40, Pierre Part, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. Tuesday on a Morgan City Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of speeding, no driver’s license and contempt of court. Bail has not been set at this time.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 69 calls for service over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Brittan Michael Boudreaux, 39, Lizabeth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:13 a.m. Monday on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal damage to property.

--Reginald Joseph Ruffing, 35, Freret Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:53 p.m. Tuesday ona charge of remaining after forbidden.

--Alexander Ray Watkins, 39, Birch Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of contempt of court (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Edjuan M. Trim, 18, Glenwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:18 a.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Reina J. Alasmeja, 33, Shady Grove Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of no driver’s license. Alasmeja was released on a summons.

--Ronald J. Winslow Jr., 33, Ciro Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:59 p.m. Tuesday on charges of home invasion and remaining on premises after being forbidden. Winslow is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to nine complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Dwayde Howard, 55, 10th Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of theft. Howard was booked, processed and released to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.

--Travis Hill, 39, Second Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Tuesday on charge of domestic abuse battery. Hill was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

Chitimacha

Chief B.C. Trahan reported these arrests:

--Jacoby J Wiggins, 30, Orchid Drive, Lafayette, was arrested April 9 on a charge of possession of synthetic cannabinoids and obstruction of justice. He was released on a summons.

--Ricky Jeanlouis, 61, Baywood Avenue, Lafayette, was arrested Sunday on charges of resisting an officer, disturbing the peace and simple assault. He was transported to St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
