Morgan City police report arrests on theft, drug, assault charges

Morgan City police reported a pair of theft arrests, another on drug charges and one in an assault case this week.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reports that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 63 calls over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Kelli Sommers, 52, Pheasantwood Drive, Baker, was arrested at 1:57 p.m. Thursday on a charge of theft (under $1,000).
--Stephanie Monique Manjarrez, 31, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--Crystal Gail Thompson, 46, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9 p.m. Feb. 12 on a charge of theft (under $1,000).
--Jamar Michael Murray, 27, Willow Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Feb. 12 on a charge of aggravated assault.
--Mason WIllie Robinson, 29, West Second Street, Thibodaux, was arrested at 10:03 p.m. Thursday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Roger Lynn Sullivan, 62, Irish Bend Road, Franklin, was arrested at 11 a.m. Thursday on charges of hit-and-run driving, careless operation and driving under suspense.
--Ra'sean Ahmad Augman, 26, Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Thursday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).
--Niechelle Winley, 36, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested 12:53 a.m. Friday on charges of probation violation (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--Emoen Poole, 24, Filmore Street, Morgan City, was arrested 4:27 p.m. Feb. 12 on two counts of failure to appear for executory sentence (16th Judicial District Court).
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 76 complaints and made these results:
--Lane Michael Aucoin, 21, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Feb. 12 on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Lacey Racquel Nicholas, 44, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:16 p.m. Feb. 12 on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Shannon Gail Wright, 34, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:14 a.m. Thursday on three warrants for failure to appear on charges of simple burglary, theft (under $1,000), simple battery and theft (over $25,000).
Bail has not been set at this time.
--Christopher Gerard Alexander, 50, Franklin, was arrested at 1:39 p.m. Feb. 12 on a charge of probation violation. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Rosalyn Burney, 63, Baldwin, was arrested on February 12, 2025, at 5:08 pm for resisting arrest or officer and on a warrant for assault-simple. Bail was set at $3,50
--Santiago Navarrete Castillo, 29, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:43 p.m. Feb 11 on a charge of violation of protective orders. Bail was set at $5,000.
--Eugene Freeman, 83, Franklin, was arrested at 11:56 a.m. Feb. 11 on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $2,500.
--Jason Roy Cavalier, 47, Patterson, was arrested at 3:37 p.m. Feb. 11 on charges of theft and remaining on land or in places after being forbidden and theft. Bail was set at $5,000.
Berwick
Chief David S. Leonard reported this arrest:
--Alvin Durapau, 36, Berwick, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 12 on charges of improper lane usage, driving under suspension and possession of synthetic marijuana.
About 6:55 p.m. Feb. 12, the Berwick Police Department received a complaint of a reckless driver on La. 182. A description of the vehicle was given, at which time officers were able to locate the vehicle.
A traffic stop was conducted, and officers made contact with the Durapau. During the course of the stop, Durapau was found to be in possession of synthetic marijuana and his license was suspended.
Durapau was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department where he was booked.
Patterson
Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:
--Danielle B. Billiot, 32, Broussard Street, Patterson, was arrested at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of driver’s license suspended or revoked. Billiot was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $437.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to seven calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:
--Jennifer Lamaison, 48, Ida Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. Friday on charges of no license plate light and expired inspection sticker. Lamaison was booked, processed and released on a $319 bond.
