Morgan City police make arrest on heroin charges

Morgan City police reported an arrest Tuesday on a heroin possession charge, while St. Mary deputies accused a woman of burglary.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 51 calls for service and made these arrests:
--Demarcus S. Roy, 31, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:12 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of heroin and possession of marijuana.
--Jonathan H. Parker, 41, Mallard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:48 a.m. Wednesday on charges of resisting an officer, front lamps on bicycles, criminal damage to property (less than $1,000), on a warrant alleging failure to appear (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and as a fugitive from the Texas Office of Probation and Parole.
--Hope L. Delgado, 39, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.
--Nurban Delgado, 45, Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of domestic abuse battery.
--Learite M. Coleman, 44, Louisiana Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:28 a.m. Wednesday on charges of simple battery, no tail lamps and resisting an officer.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 complaints and made this arrest:
--Summer Marie Gaudet, 29, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:32 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of simple burglary. Bail has not been set at this time.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to nine complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:
--Spencer Jackson, 36, Jolivette Street, Baldwin, was arrested at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday on charges of theft by shoplifting and resisting an officer. Jackson was booked, processed and released on a $4,000 bond.
