Morgan City man arrested in sexual battery investigation

A Morgan City man faces sexual battery and indecent behavior charges after his arrest Monday in Lafourche Parish, Morgan City police said.

Kevin Kinslow, 51, Elk Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. Monday on charges of sexual battery and indecent behavior with juveniles.

The investigation began Feb. 1, when Morgan City detectives responded to a report from the Department of Child and Family Services, the Morgan City Police Department said.

Kinslow was identified as the suspect. "Reports indicate that Kinslow allegedly groped the victim in the investigation," city police said.

Warrants were prepared for Kinslow's arrest. On Monday, Kinslow was located and arrested on the active arrest warrants in Lafourche Parish with the assistance of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.

Kinslow was transported and processed at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Facility and later transported to the Morgan City Jail. He remains incarcerated awaiting court proceedings.
