MCPD, deputies make arrests on drug-related charges

Morgan City police and St. Mary deputies reported arrests on drug-related charges this week.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 30 complaints and made this arrest:

--Johnathan Jermaine Miller, 44, New Iberia, was arrested at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession, distribution, and sale of a legend drug without a prescription; possession of hydrocodone; possession of drug paraphernalia; and improper lane usage.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 108 calls for service over the last 48-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Gilbert B. Ramagos, 30, Henry Street, Patterson, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and window tint violation.

--Elton Jerome Pinn, 39, St. Claire Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. Thursday on charges of aggravated battery and resisting an officer.

--Jamarcus Clark, 33, Mallard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. Thursday on charges of failure to register as a sex offender, resisting an officer and failure to appear for contempt hearing (16th Judicial District Court).

--Georgianna Jacquilin Sweetser, 55, Florida Alley, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:43 p.m. Thursday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (16th Judicial District Court).

--Lisa Theresa Reaux, 55, Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. Thursday on a charge of simple battery.

--Carolyn Musso, 19, Hollywood Avenue, Thibodaux, was arrested at 11:41 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance.

--Josiah Swan, 20, Chester Bowles, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. Thursday on charges of unlawful sale of vape products (CBD) and failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Hunter Michael Chauvin, 28, Saturn Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday on charges of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and failure to appear for hearing (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Robert Joseph Gros, 54, Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday on charges of probation violation (6th Ward Morgan City Court), failure to appear to pay probation fee (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Cheyenne Harley Monique Aucoin, 29, Main Street, Patterson, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of battery on a correctional officer.

--Tyrone Fitzgerald Thomas, 59, Florida Alley, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of theft (under $1,000).

--Russell Q. Francis, 62, Francis Street, Berwick, was arrested at 7:03 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of failure to appear to pay probation fees (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
