Local agencies report arrests on domestic abuse charges

(Editor’s note: The charges listed here and the narratives that go with them are provided by the police agencies that made the arrests. Guilt or innocence has not been determined in court.)

Patterson police and St. Mary deputies reported arrests in the last week on domestic abuse and dating partner battery charges.

Deputies also arrested a Jeanerette man accused of assault with a weapon.

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Charles A. Lodrigue III, 44, Bridge Road, Patterson, was arrested at 11:09 a.m. Friday on a charge of domestic abuse battery (third offense). Lodrigue is currently incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Jonvontrae D. Levine, 30, Mill Road, Patterson, was arrested at 11:38 p.m. Friday on charges of domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property and battery of a dating partner, and on warrants for another jurisdiction. Levine is currently incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Arthur N. Gant, 65, Cleveland Street, Patterson, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. Saturday on a charge of theft by shoplifting. Gant is currently incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $476.

--John Menser, 44, Judy Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Saturday on charges of resisting an officer by flight, driver’s license suspended or revoked, improper acceleration, driving while intoxicated (first offense), general speed law, threatening a public official, open container in motor vehicle and reckless operation.

Menser is currently incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:

--Craig Barrett, 33, Jeanerette, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 8:52 p.m. Friday on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Bail was set at $85,000.

--Eddie Bob Norman Jr., 45, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:09 a.m. May 29 on charges of battery of a dating partner, false imprisonment, violation of a protective order and simple assault.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Brelin Deanna Andorf, 26, Patterson, was arrested at 7:51 p.m. Friday on a charge of criminal trespass. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Jordan Richard Bourque, 36, Lafayette, was arrested at 9:11 a.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $2210.

--Kevin Latroy Darby, 33, Patterson, was at 10:50 a.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Calvin Smith Singleton, 41, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, obstruction of justice (tampering with evidence), resisting an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Aketa Raquel Francis, 31, Berwick, was arrested 10:35 a.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on ta charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $2,997.

--Gregory Joseph Gros Sr., 62, Pierre Part, was arrested at 2:41 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driving under suspension and improper lane usage. Gros was released on a $4,000 bond.

--Darla R. Percle, 35, Patterson, was arrested at 6:19 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging entry or remaining on premises after being forbidden and theft. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Tashib Guilbeau, 28, Franklin, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids and speeding. Bail was set at $5,050.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that these arrests:

--Sharoya Shanee Hawkins, 33, Apple Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:24 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to pay fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Za’Kirie Lyons, 19, Orange Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:53 p.m. Friday on two counts of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Tayler James Davis, 25, Natalie Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 1:32 a.m. Saturday on charges of battery on an officer and failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).

--Krisean Salinas, 19, North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, was arrested at 5:14 p.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Gerald Jay Jones Sr., 49, Keith Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. Thursday on charges of failure to appear for review (6th Ward Morgan City Court), possession of synthetic marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer.

--John Wayne Ross, 55, La. 182, Morgan City, was 10:15 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of methylphenidate and bicycle lights required.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--A juvenile was arrested at 2:03 p.m. Saturday on charges of driver must be licensed and simple assault.

--A juvenile was arrested at 2:03 p.m. Saturday on a charge of resisting an officer.

--Cedric Sillmon, 32, Pelican Court, Jeanerette, was arrested at 9:52 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for the Bexar County, Texas, Sheriff's Office alleging failure to stop and render aid. Sillmon was booked, processed and held on a $50,000 bond.

--Mai Francis, 24, Lee Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:35 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana. Francis was booked, processed and released on a $2,000 bond.

--Morris Madison, 55, Sawgrass Drive, LaPlace, was arrested at 4:04 a.m. Sunday on a charge of resisting an officer. Madison was booked, processed and held on a $2,500 bond.

--Aeril Darby, 28, Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Darby was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.

--Tia'Asia Williams, 23, Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Williams was booked, processed and released on a $500 bond.

--Denzel Williams, 33, Hanson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 9:24 p.m. Thursday on a warrant dated May 15 alleging violation of a protective order. Williams was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

Chitimacha

Chief B.C. Trahan reported these arrests:

--Denzel C Williams, 33, Cayce Street, Franklin, was arrested on an active warrant from an investigation on stalking. Williams thanked the Franklin Police Department for its assistance.

--Azizi D Valier, 38, Chitimacha Trail, Charenton was issued a citation Saturday on charges of license plate light and driving under suspension. Valier also had an active warrant with St Mary Parish alleging failure to appear for speeding 55 mph in a 45 mph zone and operating a vehicle while license suspended, revoked or canceled. He was transported to St Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
