Franklin police make arrest in July 28 shooting

Franklin police have arrested an 18-year-old who faces four counts of attempted murder in last week's shooting in the Ninth Street area.

Haven Williams, 18, Cayce Street, Franklin was arrested at 7:57 a.m. Thursday on a July 29 warrant alleging attempted first-degree murder, three counts of attempted second-degree murder, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated criminal damage to property, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and disturbing the peace (violent and tumultuous manner).

Williams was also arrested on an April 16 warrant alleging hit and run driving, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, driver must be licensed and stop sign violation, and on a 15th Judicial District Court warrant alleging simple battery.

Williams was booked processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
