
Franklin man accused of bringing meth into Morgan City

Police arrested a Franklin man accused of transporting methamphetamine into Morgan City.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:
--Anthony Dwayne Lightfoot, Wilfred Lane, Franklin, was arrested about 2 p.m. April 15 on charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine (over 28 grams), driver must be licensed and brake lights required.
The Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a traffic stop that led to the arrest about 2 p.m. April 15.
During the investigation, officers located a large amount of suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle. It was learned that Lightfoot had recently traveled from the Franklin area and was in possession of the narcotics.
“The Morgan City Police Department wants to make it clear that our investigators will continue to apply pressure on those involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics and will work tirelessly to keep these substances out of the Morgan City area,” the Police Department said in a Facebook post.
Adams commended the Narcotics Division as well as the patrol officers of the Morgan City Police Department for their proactive work and dedication to keeping these dangerous drugs off our streets.

--Kalyn Gros, 36, Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:09 p.m. Friday on a charge of resisting an officer. (Released on summons.)
--Colby Gros, 37, Pecan Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:09 p.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace. (Released on summons.)
--Chaz Pickens, 18, Cedar Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. Friday on charges of theft (under $1,000) and criminal damage to property.
--Landon Acosta, 23, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:25 p.m. Friday on five counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Donovan Chilton, 39, Verdunville Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 12:39 p.m. Friday as a fugitive from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
--Harol Bias, 36, Tournament Boulevard, Berwick, was arrested at 8:24 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Dung Cenac, 29, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--Joshua Jones, 38, Stephensville Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:32 p.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Abriella Jones, 18, Joey Street, Patterson, was arrested at 8:41 p.m. Saturday on charges of theft (under $1,000) and possession of alcohol (under 21).
--Cibyl Andorf, 51, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, no driver’s license and no child restraint.
--Joshua Driskill, 33, Arizona Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:57 p.m. Thursday on a charge of simple battery.
--Jace Cradeur, 17, Fourth Street, Berwick, was arrested 7:57 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of tobacco under 21. (Released on summons.)
--Cornelius Johnson, 38, Willow Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana, resisting an officer and lights required on bicycles.
--Brittan Boudreaux, 41, Lizabeth Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Thursday on a charge of possession of stolen things.
--Emily Businelle, 17, Electric Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:43 a.m. Friday on charges of failure to appear to pay fine and probation violation (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Damien Keller, 42, Saturn Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:44 p.m. April 15 on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Melissa Ratcliff, 37, Henry Street, Patterson, was arrested at 4:03 p.m. April 15 on two counts of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Kerwing Benitez, 26, Oak Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:36 p.m. April 15 on a charge of theft (under $1,000).
--Christopher Woods, 35, 11th Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:23 p.m. April 15 on charges of possession of marijuana, no driver’s license, no child restraint and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor. (Released on summons).
--Jimmy Bonvillain, 60, Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:28 p.m. April 15 on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated).
--Samuel Gary, 35, Chester Bowles, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:54 p.m. April 15 on charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoids and theft (under $1,000).
--Timothy Mercier, 27, Roderick Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:58 a.m. Thursday on charges of simple battery, disturbing the peace (intoxicated) and criminal damage to property.
--Courtney Mercier, 32, Roderick Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:58 a.m. Thursday on charges of simple battery and resisting an officer.
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:
--Henry Manuel Rabelo, 42, Patterson, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. Thursday on 26 counts of child sexual abuse material and one count of sexual abuse of an animal.
St. Mary Parish Detectives received a tip regarding a Patterson man with child sexual abuse material in his possession. An investigation was begun, and a search warrant was obtained.
On April 13, detectives executed the search warrant that led to the apprehension of Rabelo. Rabelo was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
As the investigation continued, detectives found digital files that led to 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑤𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 24 𝑎𝑑𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑙𝑑 𝑠𝑒𝑥𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝑠𝑒𝑥𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑎𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙.
Detectives made contact with Rabelo at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and booked him on the additional charges. Bail has not been set for Rabelo at this time.

--Damarcus Deshawn McNeal, 29, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Sunday on charges of simple criminal damage to property and violation of protective orders. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Hector Eduardo Alvarado-Lopez, 35, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. Friday on charges of domestic abuse (child endangerment law), driving while intoxicated, four counts of resisting arrest or officer, four counts of resisting by force, four counts of battery on a police officer,
purse snatching and public intimidation of a public official.
Bail has not been set at this time
--Dylan Cole Lanclos, 21, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. Sunday on charges of speeding, operating a vehicle under suspension, driving while intoxicated, and expired or no inspection sticker.
Bail was set at $17,850.
--Drayvan Kayne Bryan, 23, Belle Rose, was arrested at 8:17 p.m. Sunday on charges of driving under suspension, improper lane usage, turning movements and required signals, and resisting arrest or
Bryan was released on a $4,000 bond.
--Misty Michelle Martin-Clements, 44, Berwick, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule II drugs, possession of Schedule III drugs, cellphone use while driving and driver must be licensed.
Bail was set at $13,250.
--Jose Manuel Blanco-Gomez, 23, Houston, was arrested at 9:28 p.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of speeding. Bail has not been set at this time.
Patterson
Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:
--Shawn D. Dugar (Gant), 54, Como Street, Patterson, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. Friday on a charge of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). Dugar was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.
--Norman Andrews Jr., 37, West Bridge Street, St. Martinville, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Saturday on charges of speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone, driver’s license suspended or revoked and expired license plate. Andrews is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at
$905.
--Allenrian Johnson, 20, Lou Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:05 p.m. Saturday on charges of no seatbelt, aggravated flight from an officer, obstruction of a highways of commerce and possession of marijuana (less than 14 grams). Johnson was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail
with bond set at $11,000.
--Danise A. Swan, 47, 19th Street, Alexandria, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Sunday on a charge of speeding 87 mph in a 55 mph zone. Swan was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $403.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:
--Tyrone Cooper, 62, Roderick Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:35 p.m. Friday on charges of speeding and careless operation. Cooper was booked, processed and released on a $518 bond.
--Juvenile was arrested at 12:19 p.m. Thursday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting).
--Juvenile was arrested at 12:19 p.m. Thursday on charges of disturbing the peace (fighting) and inciting to riot.
--Ekarielle McDaniel, 18, Plantation Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 12:53 p.m. Thursday on charges of disturbing the peace (fighting), simple battery and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. McDaniel was booked, processed, and released on a $3,000.00 bond.
--Juvenile was arrested at 1:12 p.m. Thursday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting).
--Jace Winslow, 19, Camelia Street, Thibodaux, was arrested at 1:12 p.m. Thursday on charges of simple battery, possession of marijuana and disturbing the peace. Winslow was booked, processed and released on a $4,000 bond.
--Derrion McDaniel, 21, Plantation Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. Thursday on charges of disturbing the peace (fighting) and simple battery. McDaniel was booked, processed and released on a $2,000 bond.
--Larry Marks, 67, Guillotte Street, Jeanerette, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for Jeanerette City Court alleging failure to appear on the charge of stop signs. Marks was booked, processed and transported to the Jeanerette Police Department.
--Ananenia Dauphine, 31, Robertson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 1:27 a.m. Friday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of driving under suspension. Dauphine was booked, processed and released on a $413 bond.
