Five drug arrests reported by local agencies

Morgan City police and parish deputies reported five arrests on drug charges over the past week.
Assumption deputies arrested a man on a fifth driving while intoxicated charge.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:
--Phil Lodrigue, 45, Two Sisters Court, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of synthetic marijuana (first offense), violation of a drug-free zone and disturbing the peace.
--Dylan Houck, 27, Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:56 p.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of synthetic marijuana (first offense) and disturbing the peace.
--David Lopez, 49, Elk Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Thursday on charges of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a drug-free zone.
--John Ross, 57, Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:36 p.m. Sept. 17 on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
--Jermond Johnson, 48, Guyther Street, Patterson, was arrested at 4:05 a.m. Monday on a charge of urinating in public. (Released on summons.)
--Gabrielle Cernich, 31, Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:03 p.m. Thursday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Dedrick Gant, 40, Live Oak Street, Patterson, was arrested at 1:32 p.m. Sept. 17 on three counts of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:
--Keandre St. Clair Lafayette, 20, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. Thursday on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, distribution of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17.
Bail was set at $26,000.
--Tyler John Sultan, 33, Jeanerette, was arrested at 9:12 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding. Sultan was released on a $3,000 bond.
--Branyel Diggs, 23, Raceland, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. Saturday on charges of criminal mischief (false report), two counts of no child restraint, driver must be licensed and brake lights required.
Bail was set at $1,900.
--Paige Cline Saint Marie Hartegen, 27, Baldwin, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Friday on a charge of theft.
--Mitchell Alen Martin, 40, Dayton, Texas, was arrested at 4:42 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of driving while intoxicated, improper lane usage and operating a vehicle without a driver's license. Bail was set at $6,000.
--Ty'rese Jamal Jones, 24, Jeanerette, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 17 on a warrant alleging mail theft and fraud access device. Jones was released on a $70,000 bond.
--Alvin Nolan Wilson Jr., 58, Baldwin, was arrested at 8:09 p.m. Sept. 17 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at
Patterson
Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:
--Danielle B. Billiot, 33, Broussard Street, Patterson, was arrested at 7:46 p.m. Sunday on charges of headlights required and driver’s license suspended or revoked. Billiot was released on a summons.
Franklin
City Marshal Carla B. Weidenboerner reported this arrest:
--David Crow, 32 , Cayce Street., Franklin, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Saturday on a charge of failure to appear in the 3rd Ward City Court for speeding (11-15 mph over the speed limit). Crow was booked, processed and released after posting a $338 cash bond.
Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:
--Takeya Dejean, 20, Titian Avenue, Baton Rouge, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Friday on charges of speeding and driver must be licensed. Dejean was booked, processed and released to appear in 3rdWard City Court.
--Dashaunta Brooks, 32, Bollard Street, Baldwin, was arrested 10 p.m. Friday on charges of simple criminal damage to property, disturbing the peace (violent and tumultuous manner), resisting an officer and terrorizing. Brooks was booked, processed and released on a $6,000 bond.
--Tyrelle Edwards, 26, La. 87, Franklin, was arrested at 7:39 a.m. Sept. 16 on a warrant dated Aug. 26 alleging illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Edwards was booked, processed and held on a $4,000 bond.
--Derrion McDaniel, 20, Plantation Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 5:27 p.m. Sept. 16 on a warrant dated Sept. 2 alleging second-degree battery. McDaniel was booked, processed and released on an $8,000.00 bond.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
--Jarvis Jerell Grayson Jr., 26, Brenda Drive, New Iberia, was arrested Thursday on charges of driving while intoxicated (fifth offense, felony), obedience to police officers and driving under suspension.
A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail was on assignment working traffic on La. 1 near Plattenville, where a commercial vehicle was broken down and affecting traffic.
The deputy observed a vehicle that had disobeyed traffic commands and created a hazard for the motoring public. The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued on. After a distance, the suspect vehicle turned into a private drive.
The deputy made contact with the driver now identified as Grayson and removed him from his vehicle. The deputy noted an odor of an alcoholic beverage as well as an odor of suspected marijuana coming from the person of Grayson as well as the vehicle.
The deputy requested a K-9 unit to the scene. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the suspect vehicle, which produced a positive result for the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of suspected marijuana
Grayson was arrested and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center as well as a local health care facility, where breath and blood analysis was conducted.
Grayson was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on pending a bond hearing.
