False claims figure in recent arrests

(Editor’s note: The charges listed here and the narratives that go with them are provided by the police agencies that made the arrests. Guilt or innocence has not been determined in court.)

A false report, filing false records and false swearing all figured in recent arrests by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:

--Donshai D. Depass, 38, Franklin, was arrested at 1:54 p.m. Thursday on a charge of filing false records. Depass was released on a $3,000 bond.

--Nathan M. Day, 18, Maringouin, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging hit and run, reckless operation (with accident) and criminal mischief (false report). Day was released on a $7,500 bond.

--Bobby Dwayne Mickles, 45, Franklin, was arrested at 4:28 p.m. June 16 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of false swearing for purpose of violating public health or safety. Mickles was released on a $5,500 bond.

--Mason Ray Couvillier, 18, Charenton, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. June 17 on a charge of obstruction of justice (tampering). Couvillier was released on a $5,000 bond.

--Dillon Wayne Gavin, 35, Sulphur, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of Schedule II drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gavin was released on a $2,500 bond.

--Christopher Michael Brown, 53, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:20 a.m. June 16 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession of synthetic cannabinoids. Brown was released on a completed sentence.

--Demarcus Stevenson Roy, 33, Cottonport, was arrested at 2:42 p.m. June 16 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of heroin and possession of marijuana. Roy was released on a $10,000 bond.

--Shauntell Nicole Hartdegen, 43, Pierre Part, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. Thursday on charges of disturbing the peace (language) and simple assault. Hartdegen was released on a $1,500 bond.

--Brett Anthony Smith, 21, Berwick, was arrested at 9:10 p.m. June 17 on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless operation. Smith was released on a $2,750 bond.

--Brandon Brown, 44, Franklin, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 7:03 a.m. June 16 on charges of possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana and simple criminal damage to property. Brown was released on a $7,500 bond.

--Demondre Andre Wiggins, 35, Franklin, was arrested by the Narcotics Section at 9:52 a.m. June 16 on a warrant alleging probation violation. Bail has not been set at this time.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:

--Kevin Rodriguez-Flores, 19, Mixon Road, Amite, was arrested at 2:26 p.m. Friday on charges of speeding, stop sign violation, reckless operation and flight from an officer.

--Blanca Juarez, 20, La. 1011, Napoleonville, was arrested at 4:57 p.m. Friday on charges of reckless operation, no driver’s license and speeding. (Released on summons.)

--Vernon Robinson Jr., 40, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:44 p.m. Friday on seven counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Printiss Livas, 42, Edgewood Drive, Houma, was arrested at 12:38 a.m. Sunday on two counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Andrew Luke, 22, La. 662, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:17 a.m. Thursday on charges of obstruction of driver’s view, no driver’s license and possession of synthetic cannabinoids. (Released on summons.)

--Harmony Howard, 17, Mount Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:24 a.m. Thursday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). (Released on summons).

--Lindsey Washington, 17, Bowman Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:56 a.m. Thursday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting).

--Kyla Collins, 17 years Glenwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested 11:24 a.m. Thursday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). (Released on summons.)

--Jamerie Gash, 23, Terrebonne Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:16 p.m. Thursday on charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoids and obstruction of justice.

--Sarah Cochran, 30, Savanna View Drive, Baton Rouge, was arrested at 7:27 a.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment.

--Alvin Durapau, 38, Jupiter Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:41 p.m. June 17 as a fugitive from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Leon C. Scott, 39, St. Lucy Street, Patterson, was arrested at 4:17 p.m. Thursday on a charge of attempted theft. Scott was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $2,500.

--Johnathan D. Gray, 20, Cane Street, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:24 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for the Bayou County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office, grand theft of a firearm and armed burglary of a conveyance. Gray was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Vernon J. Robinson Jr., 40, Chennault Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. Friday on a charge of criminal trespass. Robinson was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $414.

--Nathaniel Rollins, 30, Patterson, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. Saturday on a charge of no driver's license. Rollins was released to appear in Mayor's Court.

--Bonita Falgoust, 51, Patterson, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Falgoust was booked, processed and released on a $6,500 bond.

--Destiny Falgoust, 29, Patterson, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Saturday on a charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Falgoust was booked, processed and released on a $7,500 bond.

--Dan Roberson, Jr., 64, Patterson, was arrested at 9:02 a.m. Sunday on charges of simple criminal damage to property and two counts of aggravated assault. Roberson was booked, processed and held with no bond set at time of press release.

--Skylar Louis, 24, Patterson, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Sunday on charges of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment) (second offense), remaining where forbidden and resisting an officer. Louis was additionally arrested on a Patterson Police Department warrant alleging domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). Louis was booked, processed and held with no bond set at time of press release.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--Milton Green, 39, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. Saturday on a charge of remaining where forbidden. Green was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Dwayde Howard, 57, 10th Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:12 a.m. Sunday on charges of theft, criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. Howard was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Erika Richardson, 36, Ninth Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Sunday on charges of hit-and-run driving, careless operation driver must be licensed, evidence of motor vehicle liability security contained in vehicle and owner to secure registration. Richardson was booked,
processed and released on a $2,000 bond.

--Eugene Green, 46, Canal Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 10:29 a.m. June 17 on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of running at large prohibited. Green was additionally arrested on the charge of leash law violation. Green was booked, processed and released on a $595 bond.

--Travion White, 24, Railroad Avenue, Franklin, was arrested at 11:47 a.m. June 17 on a warrant dated June 1 alleging unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, criminal trespassing and simple criminal damage to property. White was booked, processed and held on a $20,000 bond.

--Carl Dupas, 62, Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. June 17 on a charge of aggravated assault. Dupas was booked, processed, and held on a $2,500 bond.
