Drug, weapon, battery charges in weekend arrests

Area law enforcement agencies reported arrests on theft, assault, domestic abuse, drug and weapon charges over the weekend.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 82-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 85 complaints and made these arrests:

--Brennan Richard Tabor, 35, Patterson, was arrested at 10:35 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Alexander Cardona Rodriguez, 29, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. Saturday on charges of simple assault and stalking. Rodriguez was also named in a Morgan City Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Clayton Tardy Jr., 61, Baldwin, was arrested at 2:51 p.m. Saturday on charges of theft, expired driver's license, no insurance, no license plate and failure of owner to secure registration.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Michael Brandon Cocke, 34, Charenton, was arrested at 8:39 a.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging indecent behavior with a juvenile and sexual battery (rubbing, touching). Bail has not been set at this time.

--Jack Guillory, 48, Berwick, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of distribution of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $50,000.

--Kyle Bailey Bellard, 23, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:33 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug-free zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal carrying of a weapon, and resisting arrest or officer.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period the Morgan City Police Department responded to 150 calls for service and made these arrests:

--Kevin N. Doyle, 51, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested on at 4:11 p.m. Friday on a charge of illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.

--Kelvin Walker, 56, Arizona Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:57 pm. Friday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Morrisuantee V. Charles, 31, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:15 a.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Carlos Gomez, 20Railroad Ave. Morgan City, LA was arrested at 5:50 p.m. Saturday on charges of hit and run, no registration, driver must be licensed and no insurance.

--Shelia A. Gallow, 37, Blont Road, Baton Rouge, was arrested at 3:36 a.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for trial (16th Judicial District Court).

--Marvin M. Williamson Jr., 58, Olive Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 8:37 a.m. Sunday on charges of expired license plate and proper equipment required on vehicle, and on a warrant alleging failure to appear (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Randy L. Hatcher, 44, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:55 p.m. Sunday on charges of disturbing the peace (language), unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and remaining after forbidden.

--Humberto Maldonado, 39, Front Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Sunday on charges of domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse (child endangerment law).

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 17 complaints over the weekend and made these arrests:

--Yolanda Baker, 48, 12th Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Friday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Baker was booked, processed and released to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.

--Gloria Mitchell, 51, Canal Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. Friday on a charge of simple battery. Mitchell was booked, processed and released to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.

--Lonnie Baker, 31, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:31 p.m. Friday on a charge of theft. Baker was booked, processed and released to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.

--Alita Tabb, 23, Deslinges Road, Baldwin, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. Saturday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of theft. Tabb was additionally arrested on the charge of possession of methamphetamine. Tabb was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Brittnay Clements, 35, Second Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Clements was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Donecia Wilson, 31, Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Saturday on charges of speeding, expired license plate, suspended driver's license and no proof of insurance. Wilson was booked, processed and released on a $263 bond.

--Brandon Butler, 39, Hamilton Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:06 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Butler was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
