Drug, assault, battery arrests reported in St. Mary

(Editor’s note: The charges listed here and the narratives that go with them are provided by the police agencies that made the arrests. Guilt or innocence has not been determined in court.)

Law enforcement agencies across the parish reported recent arrests on drug-related charges over the weekend, and the Sheriff’s Office made arrests on assault and battery charges.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 131 calls for service and made these arrests:

--Hector D. Perez-Rivera, 26, Palm Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. Sunday on charges of reckless operation of a vehicle, obstruction of justice (evidence tampering), possession of marijuana, open container, possession of drug paraphernalia and driver must be licensed.

--Nakia Anderson, 24, Wren Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Danny W. Aucoin, 50, Cypress Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:21 p.m. Friday on charges of disturbing the peace (drunkenness) and criminal mischief (false emergency).

--Jarrod A. Simmons, 28, Golden Gate Court, Houma, was arrested at 7:19 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging driving under suspension.

--Juan Fuentes, 19, Lake Palourde Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. Sunday on a charge of reckless operation of a vehicle.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and made these arrests:

--Joseph Demond Wade, 47, Franklin, was arrested at 1:35 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging simple assault. Wade was released on a $500 bond.

--Jacob Nathaniel Klenert, 30, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:48 p.m. Thursday on a charge of battery a dating partner. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Lereno Rospatric Stewart, 45, Baton Rouge, was arrested at 12:58 p.m. April 3 on a charge of possession of alprazolam, possession of hydrocodone, and improper turn or failure to give required signal. Stewart was transferred to another agency.

--Steven Wayne Davis, 48, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:40 p.m. April 3 on charges of reckless operation, no insurance and driver must be licensed. Davis also held an active warrant for failure to appear on charges of improper lane usage; operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled; and failure to secure vehicle registration. Bail has not been set at this time.

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Jason P. Randle, 54, Broussard Street, Patterson, was arrested at 12:58 a.m. Saturday on a charge of driver’s license suspended or revoked. Randle was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bail set at $437.

--Travion M. Davis, 19, Edenborn Avenue, Metairie, was arrested at 4:39 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams), speeding 67 mph in a 55 mph zone, and driver’s license suspended or revoked. Davis was released on a summons.

--Willie J. Daniels, 52, Tiffany Street, Patterson, was arrested at 9:16 p.m. Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated (first offense). Daniels is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 16 complaints over the weekend and made these arrests:

--Alexis Cole, 25, Bayouside Drive, Chauvin, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. Friday on warrants for the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office alleging failure to appear on the charges of forgery, possession of Schedule II narcotics and identity theft. Cole was booked, processed and released to appear in 32nd Judicial District Court.

--Deon Turner, 40, Sanders Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. Saturday on a warrant dated Sept. 28, 2022, alleging illegal possession of stolen things and resisting an officer by giving false information. Turner was additionally arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended and failure to stop at stop sign. Turner was booked, processed and released on a $911 bond.

--Jasmiera Jack, 24, Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:38 p.m. Sunday on a charge of simple battery of the infirm. Jack was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
