Domestic, protective order charges in weekend arrests

Three area law enforcement agencies reported arrests over the weekend on charges of domestic abuse or violation of protective orders.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 102 calls for service over the last 72-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Nathaniel Paul, 32, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 311 p.m. Friday on charges of remaining where forbidden and failure to appear on a charge of contempt of court (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Dylan Joshua Houck, 26, Seventh Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:34 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of marijuana (first offense) and two counts of failure to appear to pay fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--John Demarco, 34, Frontage Road, Centerville, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of synthetic marijuana (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, resisting an office (flight) and improper equipment.
--Daniel Ray McNeal, 46, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:03 p.m. Friday on charges of domestic battery and resisting an officer.
--Marlon Lara, 34, Chennault Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Saturday on charges of reckless operation, no driver’s license, expired registration and stop sign violation. (Released on summons.)
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 85 complaints and made these arrests:
--Krisean Rene Salinas, 20, Gibson, was arrested 2:07 a.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated flight from an officer, theft, reckless operation (no accident), driver must be licensed, aggravated obstruction of highway, speeding, improper lane usage, and expired or no inspection sticker.
Salinas was also named in active warrants from the Morgan City Police Department, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Houma Police Department.
Bail has not been set on the SMPSO charges. A hold has been placed on Salinas for another agency.
--Justin Earl Stratton, 35, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. Sunday on a charge of violation of protective orders. Bail has not been set at this time.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 33 calls for service over the weekend and made these arrests:
--Travis Hill, 39, Malcolm Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:59 p.m. Friday on a charge of violation of a protective order. Hill was booked, processed and held on a $10,000 bond.
--Mathew Broussard, 25, Iberia Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 7:37 a.m. Saturday on a warrant dated Oct. 14 alleging battery of a dating partner and theft, and on a warrant dated Oct. 30 alleging aggravated second-degree battery. Broussard was booked, processed and held on a $60,000 bond.
--Marjorie Ruffin, 35, O’Neal Chube Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:41 p.m. Saturday on a charge of simple criminal damage to property. Ruffin was booked, processed and released on a $1,000 bond.
