Deputies report battery arrests

St. Mary deputies reported three arrests in the last week on battery charges, including two alleging domestic abuse.

Morgan City police continued a string of marijuana-related arrests with three more Tuesday.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:

--Preston Jamal Wade, 35, Amelia, was arrested at 3:32 p.m. Monday on a charge of aggravated battery. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Justin Dotson, 20, Patterson, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. April 18 on a charge of battery of a dating partner. Dotson was released on a $5,000 bond.

--Jimmy Robicheaux Jr., 43, Franklin, was arrested at 12:14 a.m. Saturday on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Robicheaux was released on a $5,000 bond.

--Frankie Gerard Clark, 41, Amelia, was arrested at 10:42 a.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of no insurance, improper turn, no brake lights and no driver's license. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Ron Delone Leonard, 43, Jeanerette, was arrested at 10:34 a.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Keenze Howard Sr., 59, Franklin, was arrested at 9:43 p.m. Monday on a Franklin Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear for traffic violations. Bail has been set at $403.

--Grayson Emery Evans, 50, Avery Island, was arrested at 12:02 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Evans was released on a $2,500 bond.

--Jada Nicole Olivier, 26, Berwick, was arrested at 5:17 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated. Olivier was released on a $2,500 bond.

--Carl Anthony Williams, 41, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:51 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving under suspension and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Williams was transported to another agency.

--Clarence Carl Woods, 30, Patterson, was arrested at 8:32 a.m. April 17 on a warrant alleging possession of methamphetamine, possession of MDMA, obstruction of justice (tampering) and resisting an officer. Bail has been set at $12,500.

--Eroy Joseph Acosta Jr., 39, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 4:35 p.m. April 18 on a charge of violation of protective order. Bail was set at $5,000.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:

--James Domangue, 74, Nebraska Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of marijuana (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia and remaining where forbidden.

--Richard Ruelas, 33, La. 182 East, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday on charges of child restraint, possession of marijuana (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Lawrence Garrett, 28, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested 6:10 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana (first offense).

--Devante Frank, 33, Dora Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:47 a.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of a legend drug and three counts of failure to appear to play fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Namus Rhine, 35, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. Tuesday on charges of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and as a fugitive (16th Judicial District Court).

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--Travis Sophus, 40, Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 6:32 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on charges of speeding and driver must be licensed. Sophus was booked, processed and released on a $438 bond.

--Tony Caro, 28, Hamm Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:49 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of cruelty to juveniles, and on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of no head lamps after dark and expired driver’s license. Caro was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
