Deputies report arrests on cocaine, meth charges

St. Mary deputies reported two arrests on drug charges in the last week, including two for possession with intent to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana.
St. Mary
Sheriff Gary Driskell reported these arrests:
--Calvin Mitchell Jr., 53, Patterson, was arrested at 2:04 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and transactions involving drug proceeds.
Mitchell also held three warrants for the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $152,649.75.
--Howard Ohmer, 62, Amelia, was arrested at 10:32 a.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, two counts of possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a drug-free zone.
Bail was set at $131,500.
--Mario Sylvester Wilson, 31, Gretna, was arrested at 11:31 p.m. Thursday on charges of driving while intoxicated, open container, obstruction of a public passage, and stopping, standing, or parking prohibited.
Wilson was released on a $13,250 bond.
--Iris Marie Boyer, 64, Jeanerette, was arrested at 9:06 a.m. Friday on charges of driving while intoxicated and no driver's license. Bail has not been set at this time.
--Jaidyn Delasbour, 17, Patterson, was arrested at 8:44 a.m. Saturday on a charge of criminal damage to property. Bail was set at $50,000.
--Sherman Deshun Thompkins, 39, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:33 a.m. Friday on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $3,557.
--Alicia Rae Bertrand, 40, Patterson, was arrested at 8:01 a.m. Friday on charges of theft and resisting arrest or officer. Bertrand also held a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of theft, contempt of court, giving false information, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17.
Bail was set at $15,600.
--Dylan Deandre Robinson, 26, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:12 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging assault on medical personnel and aggravated battery. Bail was set at $36,000.
--Sherrie Lynn Hebert, 40, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:03 p.m. Friday on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $5,000.
--Jermaine Silas, 43, Jeanerette, was arrested at 10:28 p.m. Dec, 4 on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail has not been set at this time.
Morgan City
Chief Chad M. Adams reported these arrests:
--Arne Brewer, 58, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:07 p.m. Thursday on a charge of cruelty to animals.
--Darnell Johnson, 48, Fourth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:14 p.m. Thursday on charges of remaining where forbidden and resisting an officer.
--Rayan Micheal, 43, Hogan Street, Berwick, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), careless operation and leaving the scene of an accident.
--Brooke Rulf, 26, Quail Run Road, Morgan City, was arrested on at 4:33 p.m. Sunday on charges of disturbing the peace and simple criminal damage to property. (Released on summons.)
--Gerald Paul Gaudet, 59, Felicia Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:27 p.m. Sunday on a charge of issuing worthless checks.
--Genri Gustavo Juarez, 32, Fourth Street, Berwick, was arrested at 9:29 p.m. Dec. 5 on charges of failure to yield and no driver’s license.
--Dustin Paul Wrenn, 35, Weeks Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 3:12 p.m. Dec. 4 on a charge of battery of emergency room personnel.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
--Sarah Ann Scully, 47, Kentucky Street, Morgan City, was booked Dec. 4 on a charge of failure to appear in Assumption Parish on a count of possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, and on a Probation and Parole detainer.
Scully was previously arrested in Assumption Parish and as a result was ordered to appear in court on June 25. Scully failed to appear as ordered, resulting in a warrant being issued for her arrest.
Scully was arrested by the Morgan City Police Department and was released to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 4.
Scully was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and remains incarcerated with bond set at $726.50. She was ordered held without bond on the Probation and Parole violation.
Franklin
Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:
--Matthew Blanks, 43, Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:46 p.m. Thursday on a warrant dated Nov. 20 alleging three counts of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment); a warrant dated Nov. 25 alleging aggravated battery; a warrant dated Nov. 26 alleging unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and a warrant dated Dec. 3 alleging flight from an officer, six counts of stop sign violation, general speed law, reckless operation of a vehicle, no registration and insurance required.
Blanks was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
--Kenneth Smith, 65, Weber Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:06 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace (fighting) and remaining where forbidden. Smith was booked, processed and held on a $408 bond.
--Michael Bourgeois, 26, Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested 1:21 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for 17th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on the charge of theft. Bourgeois was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
--Reginald Layton, 45, Rod Lane, Baldwin, was arrested at 3:31 p.m. Sunday on charges of theft, two counts of resisting an officer and two counts of simple battery. Layton was booked, processed, and held on an $11,500.00 bond.
--Erin Hunt, 58, Wayne Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 1:49 p.m. Dec. 5 on charges of driving under the influence and disturbing the peace (intoxication). Hunt was booked, processed, and released on a $3,500 bond.
