Deputies make arrests on meth charges

St. Mary Parish deputies reported two arrests early Friday on methamphetamine charges.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 complaints and made these arrests:

--Jack Lee Dobbs, 57, Patterson was arrested at 2:35 a.m. Friday on charges of no headlights, proper equipment required on vehicles, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a legend drug without a prescription.

Bail has not been set at this time.

--Trent Anthony Dehart, 25, Patterson, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. Friday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

Don Terry Bennett Jr., 35, Patterson, was arrested at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday on five warrants alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has been set at $107,852.50.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 48 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:

--John Nguyen, 45, Arbor Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).
