Deputies make arrests on assault, battery charges

St. Mary Parish deputies reported six arrests in the last week on assault, battery or domestic violence charges.

St. Mary

Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 120-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 238 complaints and made these arrests:

--Jamarion Jamal Gabriel, 17, Baldwin, was arrested at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging disturbing the peace (fighting)/simple assault and cyberbullying. Bail has not been set at this time.

--David Eduardo Hunte Jr., 27, New Orleans, was arrested at 6:38 p.m. Tuesday on warrants from Harris County, Texas, and Bexar County, Texas, alleging violation of protective orders, simple burglary, aggravated assault and simple battery of the infirm.

Hunte is being held for another agency.

--Myles Deshon Roberson, 25, Franklin, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of flight from an officer and window tint. Roberson was released on a $500 bond

--Gene Butts, 36, Jeanerette, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Tuesday on a Jeanerette Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of domestic abuse battery. Butts is being held for another agency.

--David Wade Woods Jr., 38, Patterson, was arrested on at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday on charges of violation of protective orders and simple assault. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Steve Michael Scully Jr., 38, Patterson, was arrested at 3:24 p.m. April 18 on an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office alleging simple battery, domestic abuse battery, battery of a dating partner and aggravated burglary. Scully is being held for another agency.

--Britney Jocelyn Loera, 23, Houston, was arrested at 2:31 p.m. April 19 on charges of reckless operation (no accident), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Loera was released on a $4,000 bond.

--Robert Nolan Lancelin Jr., 60, Baldwin, was arrested at 5:02 p.m. April 19 on charge of obstruction of justice (simple assault). Bail was set at $3,000.

--Mark Anthony Conley Jr., 23, New Orleans, was arrested at 9:12 a.m. April 19 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of MDMA; illegal use, possession, or control of weapons in a crime of violence; possession of marijuana; and speeding.

Conley was released on a $10,000 bond.

--Jason Paul Daigle, 43, Berwick, was arrested at 9:37 p.m. Sunday on an Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant. Daigle is being held for another agency.

--Michael Lewis, 61, Jeanerette, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. Monday on charges of domestic violence and simple interfering with emergency communication. Bail was set at $5,000.

--Kim Connor, 47, Baldwin, was arrested at 5:04 p.m. April 19 by the Narcotics Section on charges of window tint, driving under suspension, resisting an officer and resisting an officer (false information), and on two warrants alleging criminal neglect of family.

Bail was set at $50,157.17.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 38 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Landon Ray Acosta, 21, Marcel Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Tuesday on charges of remaining in places after forbidden and improper lane usage.

--Christopher James Percle, 25, Clements Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

--Madison Noel Cobb, 20, La. 663, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

--Cheyenne Harley Monique Aucoin, 29, Franklin, was arrested at 11:31 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to five complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Myrtle Naquin, 61, La. 87, Franklin, was arrested at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for 23rd Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle with suspended license and no registration in vehicle. Naquin was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

--Kenyon Polidore, 17, Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of a machine gun and possession of unregistered or illegally transferred weapon. Polidore was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
