Dating partner battery, gun arrest reported by deputies

St. Mary deputies reported a dating partner battery arrest involving a firearm, while alcohol and marijuana charges accounted for two Morgan City arrests:

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 89 complaints and made these arrests:

--Burkin Jerome Dupre, 37, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:33 p.m. Sunday on a charge of aggravated battery of a dating partner (pregnant victim), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm by person convicted of domestic abuse.

Bail was set at $60,000.

--Daniel Lee Dobbs, 37, Patterson, was arrested at 4:33 p.m. Sunday on an Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant alleging failure to pay annual registration fee and failure to register as a sex offender. Dobbs is being held for another agency.

--Paul Joseph Lirette, 30, Raceland, was arrested at 7:30 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge battery of a dating partner (child endangerment law). Bail has not been set at this time.

--Kevin James Diggs, 47, Franklin, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on a Franklin Police Department warrant, a Chitimacha Tribal Police Department warrant and a Probation and Parole warrant. Diggs is being held for another agency.

--Xavier Omar Clark, 18, Centerville, was arrested at at 7:37 p.m.Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Clark was released on a $1,000 bond.

--Tyrek Jamal Colbert, 21, Centerville, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. Saturday on charges of disturbing the peace (fighting) and criminal damage to property. Colbert was released on a $1,250 bond.

--Jorge Ulises Martinez-Galindo, 38, Amelia, was arrested at 10:22 p.m. Sunday on charges of driver must be licensed and driving while intoxicated. Bail was set at $2,600.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 36 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Cheyenne Harley Monique Aucoin, 29, Main Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Monday on charges of disturbing the peace (intoxicated), possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer.

--James Henry Zeaunce Jr., 24, Mississippi Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 2:13 a.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and improper lighting.
