Cyberstalking, drunken driving, unauthorized entry charges in local arrests

Local law enforcement agencies reported arrests this week on charges that include cyberstalking, drunken driving and unauthorized entry.

Morgan City

Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 37 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and reported this arrest from Sunday:

--Courtnie Liennea Chenevert, 41, Onstead Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:44 p.m. Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), resisting an officer, attempted battery of a police officer and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 46 complaints and made these arrests:

--Jerroid Jermaine Garrison, 31, Patterson, was arrested at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of cyberstalking. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Kristy Renee Ribardi, 45, Morgan City, was arrested at 7 p.m. Tuesday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of unauthorized use of an access card and issuing worthless checks. Ribardi was released on a $4,000 bond.

--Joseph James Thibodaux, 25, Franklin, was arrested at 3:28 a.m. Tuesday on charges of criminal trespass, resisting arrest or officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Brennan Norton Skinner Sr., 31, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant alleging aggravated burglary. Bail has not been set at this time.

Patterson

Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:

--Derek M. Gaskins, 42, Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested at 8:35 p.m. Monday on charges of no driver’s license and two headlights required. Gaskins was released on a summons.

Franklin

Chief Cedric Handy reported these arrests:

--Aalyiah T. Batiste, 23, Cayce Street, Franklin, was arrested at 1:37 p.m. Tuesday on charges of unauthorized entry into an inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace. Batiste is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set. Batiste was also arrested by Franklin police Monday on a charge of remaining where forbidden.

--Lovana Burrell, 35, West Ibert Street, Franklin, was arrested at 12:17 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for Patterson Mayor's Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of disturbing the peace. Burrell was booked, processed and transported to the Patterson Police Department.

Assumption

Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:

--Crystal Bailey Duhon, 50, of 294 Ricohoc Drive, Franklin, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging her with failure to appear in court in Assumption Parish on a charge of taking contraband to or from a penal institution.

After her arrest on the contraband charge, Duhon failed to appear in court June 19. A warrant for her arrest was issued June 20.

Duhon was arrested by the Morgan City Police Department on Sunday.

She was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Tuesday and booked and released on a $200 cash-only bond.
