Berwick
Chief David Leonard Sr. reported that the Berwick Police Department responded to 10 calls for service in the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:
--Parish Latiolas, 30, Berwick, was arrested at 3:38 p.m. Wednesday on a Berwick warrant alleging contributing the delinquency of a juvenile.
The warrant stems from an incident on July 25 in which a runaway juvenile was located at a residence on Fourth Street in Berwick. After receiving information from the Morgan City Police Department regarding the juvenile’s whereabouts, Berwick police officers responded to the location and confirmed the presence of the juvenile.
The investigation revealed that Latiolais had knowingly allowed the juvenile to remain at her residence.
“The Berwick Police Department will not tolerate any adult who harbors a minor,” Leonard said. “Protecting the safety and well-being of our youth is a top priority, and individuals who interfere with that mission will be held accountable.”
